So.... To wrap up the confusion of what happened on last night's The Electro Wave Show

KSWV went down for around 35 minutes last night. While it was down, I set up Mixcloud Live and broadcasted from the point the station went down. So by the time it was all set up and was broadcasting on Mixcloud, it was around 20 minutes behind.

When the station came back up again, the show had continued playing in the background, so was 20 minutes ahead of the Mixcloud live. So when I was posting the song titles and artists, I was posting based on the Mixcloud feed. So if you were listening to the station feed, it would have looked like there was a delay on me posting the song details.

All a bit of a mess, and from next week, I'll broadcast on Mixcloud live as well through the station, so we have a back up feed

Hope that makes sense..... Probably added even more confusion 😂

My little ol' The Electro Wave Show is getting a fair bit of airplay on various radio stations which is great news for the artists I play, meaning they get more airtime. The broadcast times are below. The benefit of broadcasting across timezones is obvious.

The show is also uploaded to my Mixcloud and both Spectrum and KSWVs Mixcloud too. I've noticed an increase in both the number of Mixcloud listeners and the length of time the show is being listened too, which is great for the artists.

44 years old and this is the album that got me into electronic music.

A lad at school said "you need to listen to this" and he gave me a TDK C90 which had Vienna recorded on it. From the quiet opening of Astradyne on side 1 to the closing "we're standing still" on All Stood Still on side 2, this album is a masterpiece.

Side one is just an masterpiece with the Neu!/Can influenced instrumental Astradyne opening and taking you on a journey into New Europeans, Private Lives, Passing Strangers and the live favourite, Sleepwalk.

Side 2 flows beautifully from the atmospheric Mr X, into the hypnotic opening of the big and busy Western Promise, which bleeds into Vienna and ending with All Stood Still.

That bootleg tape cost me nothing, but it it cost me many hundreds with all the Ultravox albums, merch and gigs, giving me some of the best memories ever.
