Hope you enjoy the look back.

Best with sound on!

Okay, why not Florida 911 Photography?

It’s not gonna happen on a regular basis but when in the immediate vicinity, ya take it.

Today, the Sarasota County 911 alerted the box assignment for the structure fire on Baneberry Court here in North Venice.

Engine companies 51, 52 and 53 along with Rescue (EMS/Firefighters) arrived to single story, single family home with nothing visible from the exterior.

Crews made entry to the occupied structure to find smoke from the oven. Firefighters removed a charred cardboard pizza box from the oven. The incident was cleared within 20 minutes.

Note: all details were made by my observation only, nothing has been verified by any Venice Fire Department or Sarasota County Fire Department personnel.

As the year comes to an end today, our “LOOKING BACK” has come to an end.

Over the year, I posted every incident we took photos of over the ten years we were in operation (2009-2019).

I hope you enjoyed looking back at all the crazy incidents handled by our first responders, for such a small piece of the country, its clear our area sees its share of craziness and sadness from accidents to fires.

Theres not much more I can do with this page, so this is probably the last post.

For those still riding fire truck, ambulances, helicopters or in police cars, please be safe every day.

Have a safe and happy 2024.

*** LATE POST ***

LOOKING BACK

ON THIS DATE, December 11, 2010 while gearing up for a busy season Santa Clause was busy at the Biglerville Hose & Truck Company in Biglerville Pa. greeting children and gathering those all so important Christmas wish lists.

While meeting children the Biglerville Fire volunteer Company was alerted to a commercial building fire.

Santa seeing they needed assistance, and being a man of speedy response times, he jumped in the fire companies tanker and drove it to assist at the multiple alarm fire.

The most interesting part about this story is he got to the fire all without the assistance of his trusty reindeer being led by Rudolph of course. Santa is used to reindeer power not horse power that a fire truck has.

The jolly old guy was seen hauling load after load of water to the scene for hours before heading back to the North Pole where Mrs Clause was undoubtedly upset his uniform was soiled and smelled of smoke just a week before Christmas.

** for details of the fire Santa responded too, see the prior post posted today.
