Written appreciation post for this man’s birthday!

I am humbled to have been allowed the privilege to work alongside John Cooper. 15 years ago, I had no idea what I was saying yes to when I stepped into my role with Skillet. At 18 years old, John Cooper, (and Korey Cooper) took me under their wing- and because of that I am who I am today! He and Korey patiently endured as I learned the ropes of touring life, (…I didn’t even know what a Soundcheck was!😅)… and John even taught me how to set a budget and how to balance a checkbook!! More importantly than all of this, I’ve been shown what it means to be a true disciple of the King of Kings. Watching stand by his convictions and speak boldly for the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ over the last few years has been inspiring.. Despite great cost and opposition he continues to endure, and proves himself to be a man of conviction, radical obedience and strength. I hope and pray that his voice will continue to encourage many! For His glory!!! Happy birthday, Doggy! We’re all so proud of you!

All the feels!!!

My heart 😭❤️😭 Being a dad was once one of my greatest fears. Coming from a broken family, I didn’t really know if I’d be able to do this thing right. And to be honest I don’t always get it right. But what I’ve found is my fear is no match for the Grace of God. Everyday I discover my Heavenly Father lighting my path to being a good daddy. Turns out I just have to love my kids the way God has loved me. It’s hard to do but easy to see and I’m gonna give it all I have.

Under the Manhattan bridge 2001.

Lil known fact:
The break beat on “PSA” played by (aka Skwid) was played here in the st under the bridge and recorded on a digital camera. We pulled the audio and dropped it in the track. played drums on the rest of this track…it became a drum collab between both epic drummers.
