We made another remix! This one is being released as part of “The Journey” by Yasushi Ide, halfway around the world in Japan. “The Journey” is a 115 dreamy mind trip featuring reworks of the renowned Japanese producer’s recordings arranged for continued listening. We’re so honored to have contributed to this project which also features artists we admire such as Shuya Okino, ROOT SOUL, Charles Webster, Steven Stanley, Kiko Navarro, DJ Krush, DJ Nature and more. The continuous mix features overdubs and manipulation by Ide and Watusi, his longtime production partner.

Our remix of Galactic Beats Part 2 (from Ide’s 2022 album, Cosmic Suite Vol. 2) came together as an amalgamation of various influences—from Sun Palace to Jazztronik to Ashra with a New York dancefloor twist. We remained faithful to the beautifully recorded instrumentation of the original piece, but introducing space, new color and rhythmic patterns, rearranging it from 3 to 6 minutes, ultimately delivering three versions for release.

In my 20 years of DJing I haven’t had many opportunities to play solo open to close, so the task was met with a lot of preparation and intention. For those that came, I hope something connected with you and even better, stayed with you after the party. -

A big thank you to and for bringing it the way only they can, for the promo support, the PR staff for hosting us and the dancers for making the party happen.

We’re taking a break from parties until early 2025 as we prepare for our transition to parenthood later this year. Thank you for showing up and allowing us an ongoing chance to experiment, tweak, invite in, and evolve as our residency at carries on. Our 2025 dates are already on the calendar and we are looking forward to reuniting with you all then.
