I am soooooo proud of my goddaughter!! Omg Y’all have to go see show. It is so good that my kids who don’t speak Spanish understood every word. I laughed, I cried and I’m so proud of her! The cast was phenomenal, the script was jaw dropping, the set was perfect, Julissa thank you for sharing your talent with us. The show is going until 5/22/23. Please make it to this show! Julissa I love you so much! You are brilliant, that’s when we hugged I broke down. You are so talented! Take up space in all the spaces. Y’all need to see this show it’s that powerful!! TQM Ahijada

Last night I got to witness the great work of my best friend/sister and WOW! 🤩 I remember when you first told me about this play getting picked up and how excited I was to see this come to life & baby girl, you did NOT disappoint 👏🏼🔥 I’m so proud of you & grateful that I get to be a witness to you walking in your greatness. When I started this I had very little clarity on how I was going to make it happen.
6 seasons in and we’ve accomplished SO much and have been honored to be a part of SO much more that it’s really been affirming to know I can pull a vision off.

Skittlez has been by my side the entire time and I’m so lucky to have had my friend show this level of dedication over the years. Skittlez means the world to me; that’s my family, really.

You all have been such a wonderful community to sit at the table with. The way you all have shown up for us has fueled us and pulled us out of the quicksand of self doubt time and time again.

I’m grateful for all of it. Every single moment.

We’ve come so far,
invested so much,
fought to keep out the noise of performance metrics,
and I’ve exhausted myself trying to get in line with the acrobatics of growing enough to make bronché a “hit”

I personally don’t believe this platform is being executed in the most effective way-- and I am the executer. I don’t want to let my team down, but I also don’t want to be too stubborn to trust my gut on this one;

I think it’s time to pull the plug for a bit.

We’re going on a hiatus.

I don’t want to promise you a time we’ll be back, but I can promise you this isn’t the end of my journey, it’s the beginning of a new definition of success.

Because honestly, f**k ALL of this s**t. The way I’ve held space for bronché doesn’t always walk that talk though, and if I’m going to do it, it has to be aligned with where I am at.

Right now all I know is that I am a storyteller, I’m an advocate, and I f**king love brunch. There is a recipe there, I just have to keep playing with the measurements until I whip up the most aligned, soul-filling plate I can.

That said; Skittlez and I are still completely open for bookings, interviews, hosting duties etc. We will still grace the Bronché social media with commentary and some DOPE photos we didn’t get to use. But most of all I’m excited to still tag team with community and help amplify the wonderful work everyone is doing because ya’ll are amazing and we want to echo that.

Pero like, don’t forget us…
