Happy New Year! 2023 was an amazing year for me. I grew so much, got to travel more with my family, and overcame a few challenges along the way. Looking forward to what 2024 has in store. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣⁣I finally had the guts to do a bo***ir photoshoot with Stephanie Young Photography after turning 41 earlier this year, and it was AMAZING!

Not only did Stephanie make the experience unforgettable and comfortable, but she also made me feel incredibly beautiful and sexy in my body. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took care of everything during the shoot and was also very helpful with wardrobe and accessory choices leading up to it. I definitely recommend Stephanie Young Photography for any type of shoot, but highly recommend all women do a bo***ir with her!

Thank you Stephanie ❤️ for such an amazing experience and for making me see the beauty in my body! And thank you for traveling back to CA so I could have the opportunity to do this shoot with you!

If I could give you all some advice about preparing for a bo***ir over 40, here it is. Don’t think about it too much and make it fun! Yes, make sure your outfit choices fit well and don’t cut into your skin or squeeze flesh in places that you don’t want it to, but don’t worry about the size or perkiness of your breasts in a bralette or lingerie, or how large your b***y looks in a thong. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Accept your body as it is and just do it!

I did my own hair, the same way I would for a date night. I also did my own makeup using products I’ve used time and time again. I’m not saying don’t get acrylics or not hire a professional, but if you don’t typically do it don’t do it for the shoot unless you don’t feel confident in doing it yourself. I just knew doing these things myself was right for me.

I did have my nails painting because I didn’t have the confidence to do it without it looking disastrous, but I knew I didn’t want acrylics. Don’t get me wrong - it’s nothing against fake nails but I am not a person who does that so why do it for my photoshoot? It was important for me to just be “me” as much as possible going into this shoot and I feel like it gave me a better experience.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

- when Mad Rabbit had their Tattoo Balm in the cucumber scent. 💚🥒 ⁣⁣

Although I do personally prefer unscented products, I actually favored this light and refreshing cucumber scent over the other two still available (vanilla coconut, frankincense & lavender) so I was sad to see it discontinued. The brand does have an unscented balm stick option, but for someone heavily tattooed like myself it does not last very long. Even this 1.7 oz size pictured goes rather quick for me so I hope one day to see a larger size available, along with an unscented option. 🤞🏻 ⁣⁣

I’m always honest about products so here’s a few cons:⁣⁣

- Gritty texture, you really have to work at it to rub it in well enough.⁣⁣
- It’s a solid balm, making it difficult to apply even after warming up in hands (applying low heat with a blow dryer works best).⁣⁣
- Expensive for long-term use.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So there it is, the good and bad in my experience using this balm. Although it does take more effort to apply, I would still totally re-purchase this balm, as it does moisturize and enhance my tattoos all day long, and doesn’t cause irritation like others I’ve tried! ✌🏻⁣⁣

Had a little fun and tried on these headphones as well as let my 9 and 6 year olds. I’ll start by saying these headphones have both pros and cons.⁣
Being that they are for kids, I thought they’d be more comfortable to wear. The kids said they are too hard and hurt their ears a little but do like the stickers that were included. ⁣
The speaker sounds good and no static noises so far but these headphones don’t drown out other sounds. The maximum volume setting sounded a little higher than I prefer for my kids. ⁣
Grateful for the opportunity but based on my experience using this product I am unable to recommend them but with a little adjustments or lowering the price, these headphones could be useful for kids.⁣

Unfortunately the product was damaged in transit but I was still able to swatch the shades, Pearl/Buff.⁣

The formula of this bronzer & highlighter duo feels bouncy-like, creamy and glides onto the skin smoothly. However as others have mentioned, a part of the highlighter portion was stuck to the inside mirror then came out of the pan completely when I opened it. ⁣
⁣
Although the bronzer is too warm for my skin tone, it has good pigmentation. The highlighter portion is extremely subtle and it took a lot of effort to get even a small amount of color payoff. ⁣
⁣
I was excited to try this cream product but due to the packaging issue, color payoff and price point, it’s an easy pass for me and based on my experience I cannot recommend it. ⁣

First, the glass jar packaging is very beautiful. Included with a black pin-point applicator and pure silicone pad for easy application. ⁣⁣
It is too early to tell if it’s improving any fine lines or dark circles but I immediately noticed a long-lasting moisturizing effect it gives to the under eye area, working better than any other eye cream I’ve tried. My skin is always dry and even more so during cold months, and this product works very well, I am truly impressed.⁣⁣
I also love that this is formulated without many ingredients I always try to stay away from and it doesn’t bother my sensitive skin type, but the luxurious price point makes it difficult to recommend. If you can afford to splurge I would say give it a try, especially if your on the dry, mature side like me. It is extremely hydrating and nourishing, reduces dryness and boosts skin luminosity, giving the eye zone a healthy glow. ⁣⁣⁣

It’s too early to tell if this toothpaste whitens but after brushing I immediately notice my teeth look and feel cleaner. This toothpaste also doesn’t cause any sensitivities and gives a nice refreshing feeling. It’s naturally flavored with peppermint oil, turmeric, and ginger and although I was hesitant about the flavor, it wasn’t bad at all compared to other fluoride-free brands I’ve tried. I usually can’t brush long enough with them due to the taste but I am able to use this one daily with no problems. ⁣
Overall, I am pleased with this toothpaste and would recommend. It is affordable, contains no artificial preservatives, and is also vegan friendly. If your looking for a fluoride-free toothpaste that’s more natural, definitely give this one a try!⁣
