Please as directed by the Leadership of the Obi-Datti Campaign, we wish to inform our Media team and Spokespersons in the Labour Party to avoid and stear clear of discussions on APC's Muslim/Muslim ticket as we have been advised to resist being dragged into the debate by the Press.

Our responses, if neccessary, should be "though we are mindful of the activities of our political opponents, we do not concern ourselves with thier internal political parties issues and so we are essentially focused on our mantra of taking back Nigeria and changing the country from consumption to production"

To this end, our attention and promotion should be purely focused on our Candidates and what we are bringing to Nigerians which is unity and prosperity for all.

I’ve come to terms with my observations about supporters of the presidential flag bearers of APC,PDP and LP.

The supporters of APC/Tinubu are mostly those that rely on government patronage, the existing corrupt system, brief-case/portfolio contractors and businessmen who have no viable means of livelihood or ability to create wealth outside of government. They depend solely on government to live.

The supporters of PDP/Atiku are mainly those who did not benefit from APC’s maladminstration, with hope that Atiku’s presidency will somehow allow them make money from the treasury, they are so used to free money from their days in government that the last 7 years have so impoverished them and they can’t wait to take over.
They have almost same ideology as the APC except that one is in power and the other can’t wait to replace the one in power. Nothing dissimilar.

As for LP/Obidients, the supporters are mostly self- reliant people, whose only dream is to have a working government. They believe Nigeria has great and enormous potentials and can work again. They want a new beginning for Nigeria; a change from the endemic corruption that has been the bane of Nigeria’s development. They want a RESET. They want Nigeria to be productive by industrialization. They want a shift from consumption to production. They want to get the ports working efficiently and effectively. They want to tackle insecurity by creating jobs through industrializing the economy. They want every child of school age to be in school because they understand that an educated populace Is a productive populace.

Peter Obi Unveils Baba-Ahmed As Running Mate

The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has officially unveiled Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running mate for the 2023 elections.
This came shortly after the running mate “place holder”, Doyin Okupe, withdrew from the race.
The unveiling took place on Friday morning in Abuja.
Obi said Baba-Ahmed was eminently qualified to bring his private sector and academic achievements to bear in the drive to rescue Nigeria from the primitive politics of ethnicity.
Obi added that the party will anchor its manifesto in coming days on the 17 goals of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Baba-Ahmed is the proprietor of Baze University in Abuja and one-time Senator representing Kaduna North in the National Assembly.

Below are some things to know about the Labour Party Vice Presidential candidate in the 2023 general election:
1 – Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed was born to the Baba-Ahmed family in Zaria, Kaduna State, in 1975/1976
2 – He is among the thirty-three children of his father, Baba Ahmed, who was an Arab cattle-trader from modern day Mauritania, who later became a notable professor and expert on Islamic jurisprudence.
3 – Baba-Ahmed has a BSc and MSc in Economics from the University of Maiduguri in Borno State.
4 – He worked in the security Printing and Minting, Lagos before entering into politics.
5 – Baba-Ahmed was elected as House of Representatives member for Zaria Federal Constituency on the platform of All Nigeria People’s Party in 2003.
6 – While in the position, he became known for speaking out against corruption and the Third Term Agenda of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
7 – In 2006, while a Federal representative, he earned the title of Doctor of Philosophy when he completed his PhD studies at the University of Westminster.
8 – Baba-Ahmed was founder and Pro-Chancellor of Baze University, an independent university located in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria. which opened in April 2011.
9 – In the April 2011 elections, Baba-Ahmed polled 366,398 votes in the contest for Senator and won the senator seat for Kaduna North from 2011 to 2012.
10 – Baba-Ahmed was officially unveiled as the running mate of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the 2023 general election on Friday, July 8, 2022.
