Decatur County Schools will be closed on Monday for MLK Jr day and then closed the remainder of the week due to extremely low temperatures and the threat of inclement weather. Wind chills are predicted to be in the negatives and we want to keep everyone safe and warm.

Be weather aware Saturday, but not hyped up. On the 1 to 5 scale, the National Weather Service has most of our area in the 2 category, for severe storms possible. Tornado threat is quite low. Make sure you have ways to receive weather warnings if issued. It might be a good idea to bring in the inflatable decorations today, to prevent them from getting blown around.
