Recently I posted that at one point I realized:
Out of the 168 hours in a week, I only spend 44 with my daughter. It hit me hard. It was a wake-up call, a signal to break free from the relentless rat race.
Some might say 44 hours is a decent amount of time to spend with your child. And sure, it might be for some parents. But here's the thing – within those 44 hours, I couldn't fully immerse myself in quality time with her. Instead, I found myself caught up in ordinary tasks like grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, and all the other tasks that come with maintaining a household.
Occasionally, if everything aligned perfectly, we'd manage to sneak in some playtime or outings. But realistically, it was only a fraction of those 44 hours. For me, this imbalance felt unsustainable. And the thought that this could be our routine for the next 40 years was intimidating.
So I took action, what I did I will tell you next time.
