Hey all. I am proud to present a BRAND NEW mix of my audio play, Remember the Dream Girl, courtesy of my friend and partner-in-crime, JT Curtis

I have deleted the previous two mixes as this one is the definite one that fixes issues such as balancing, as well as some added effects on certain scenes

The next step for this little baby of mine?
1. Get title card artwork commissioned.
2. Get a slightly edited version of the play onto my old radio station I use to work at WVOX

For those listening to this for the very first time, I hope you enjoy

The plot:
“Have you ever had one of those dreams that seemed to speak to you on a spiritual level?”
Ordinary guy Darren Shaw has been having a strange recurring dream as of late; one of trudging through the snow covered mountains to a lone cabin out in the distance. Once he reaches it, he is greeted by a beautiful blonde girl who embraces him, thanks him for coming, and tells him “You will always be loved”. As the dreams continue, Darren quickly learns that what he is experiencing is not part of a normal dreaming cycle; something is bringing him to this cabin and the girl inside isn’t just a figment of his imagination; she is actually real.

With each nightly visit, Darren and the dream girl begin to talk and connect, forming a relationship, sharing their hopes, dreams, and fears and inevitably falling in love.

A modern day romantic sci-fi fairy tale that was literally based on a dream I had

After two years of working on this, it's finally finished

So, let me explain for those who don't know

A few months into moving to Branford CT and getting a job, I had this dream about walking to a cabin in the snow covered mountains. When I get to the porch, the door opens up and this beautiful blonde Caucasian girl in a white dress comes out and hugs me. Just before I woke up, she told me "You will always be loved...."

It was at that moment, I immediately woke up and wrote down what I had just dreamed.

It stuck with me the whole day and inspired to make a full length audio play where I would actually pay people for their work so I could teach myself about budgeting.

I thought what the story would be for this, eventually settling on a romantic/sci-fi fairy tale set in modern era, staring an ordinary man named Darren Shaw being pulled into this dream world and falling in love with this girl in the cabin, while also injecting my own quirky sense of humor

Soon afterwards, I asked my friend JT Curtis if he would be up for not only voicing a character in the play but if he would also up for doing the music and songs for it. We also bounced some ideas off each other as production went along. He's a great creative partner to have

What followed was writing the script, which not only ended up being a lot longer than I initially envisioned but became a bit more personal as I reflected on the last few years

Anyway, I don't want to bog this post down in too many details so without further ado...

Note that this currently what I call the "good-enough" mix. Its a mono mix with some compression and limiting and volume raised and certain voices and SFX. I tried making this sound as clear as I could from my laptop but I recommend listening to this play through headphones

I do plan on making a better stereo mix as I shop this around to other places and hopefully get to play at the old radio station I use to work at
