Hi everyone! It's been a minute since I've been on air! WSUM 91.7 FM had renovations all of January, but my first day back is TOMORROW AT 8AM!

This year I want to hear more from YOU on what music you want to hear on The Effeminate Musique on WSUM 91.7 FM!

As a reminder, I play music by womxn-identifying artists, femme-identifying artists, nonbinary-identifying artists, LGBTQ+ artists, POC artists, etc. I would love to air more local and regional music to support our own music scene here in the Midwest, but I'm always down to play music from all over.

She had (and still does have) AMAZING music taste so I will be showcasing some of her favorites from that era including Cher, Diana Ross, The Mamas and the Papas, The Carpenters, Linda Ronstadt, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin and more! I've been absent the last few weeks due to some family and work obligations. This week is no different sadly, so you won't be hearing my lovely voice on air this morning!

Hello my dears, sad to report I won't be in the air chair spinning you tunes tomorrow or the following Thursday morning but I have a really good reason and it's because I'm GOING ON VACATION BI***ES.

I'll be off the grid for a week as I raft down a river and camp in Idaho. It's equally exciting and terrifying as I've never done this kinda thing before and I'm the least campy(?) person I know. Here's to trying new things!

Hey all and Happy Tuesday!

I realize I've been slacking on posting shows lately and I'm sorry to anyone who actually listens to the Soundcloud versus the live show. I have been between work spaces because there is a ton of construction going on around my block, and my brain and schedule have been scattered as a result. I will post the shows this week for the last 3 weeks or so of shows. Thanks for your patience!

Also, I'm going to start posting articles and events highlighting women and femme musicians doing cool stuff both in and outside of our community cuz we need to celebrate and support them! So I'll be posting more often than I have.

HUGE NEWS!

Starting tomorrow morning, I will be DJing live in the WSUM 91.7 FM studios! I'm so excited to be back, and I look forward to interacting with my listeners live on air again.

Since the pandemic began, I've been doing my show remotely from home. It's been a fun learning experience. I actually taught myself how to record and edit, which I didn't think could be done so that's cool. But I miss the feeling of being in-studio, spinning records, and possibly screwing something up live on air.

So turn those dials to WSUM 91.7 FM at 8 am tomorrow for a LIVE hour of The Effeminate Musique with me, DJ Roz!
