When you’re sleeping in the back seat of your car, people don’t understand why. The artists you love aren’t getting paid a notable fraction of the money which is being paid into our work, our sacrifice, or our outpouring into systems which ignore us. Yesterday, someone said “When I download the album that doesn’t count as a sale?” No, it doesn’t love. The moment you stop paying for your subscription you no longer have access to the music or film. What does that say? So listen… Let’s do a better job of educating ourselves and our fans. When you’re sleeping in the back seat of your car, people don’t understand why unless you TELL THEM.

Mommy’s little boy done grown up and accomplished a few thangs. The biggest one is being a happy and blessed Black and Choctaw man who’s still alive. Celebrating my 48th trip around the sun. Thank you to my mother, my kids, their two mommy’s, and all of you who have poured into my life, offering me the opportunity to grow, provide leadership, and have completely accepted me the human. Let alone the mad scientist of sound. Let us commence the wild celebration of life and pushing of the boundaries of sound. ❤️ 11/20

We have an opportunity to lift others up. I love this level of transparency. It feels very much like the conversations we needed OGs to have had with us decades ago are now open to us having now. Please find it within yourself to chime in and add to one another. I stay ahead of the time because of the culmination of what I’ve learned and the door being open for me to learn from those who come with me and will be here after me. Wake up.

Side note: This particular person certainly didn’t need my input, as he’s fire af but I noticed how I instinctually responded and wanted to encourage all of you legends out there to do the same. “Be part of the conversation…” like my boy always preached. Thanks J Swiss. Being an artist of any kind isn’t easy and you’re using your platform to be helpful. 👑

I am my children and thier mothers. I am my mother’s vision. I am my father’s pride. I am here to help everyone understand the value of ourselves and ourselves in sound and film. Thank you for riding with me as I learn and grow as a man and human being. This is such a scary time but film and music are both teaching me and highlighting my voice. My brothers sisters and I l, are doing some incredible things right now. I’m grateful. I am extremely excited for all of you to hear this evolution. A brother has been challenging artists, producers, and institutions to do better. Let’s roll! 😤

Engineering is not eloquent. Engineering is ugly. It is the ugly intersection between high level technology, history, marketing, refined taste, listening skills, communication skills, adaptability, vision, selflessness, and empathy. Some of us become so well versed at it that we’ve elevated it into an art form.

I’m closing out 2024 and entering 2025 with some phenomenal mixes I’m excited for you guys to enjoy.

I need our men to pray. Prayer from the deepest part of your soul is not a passive, it’s an action. Yes, your body should take action as well, but do not pass off prayer as arbitrary. Concentrated thoughts focussed into an energy, backed up by physical action is the way. Not physical action led by emotions.

I’m sick of celebrating fallen soldiers. I’m sick of small people bickering. I’m sick of politicians. I’m sick of people’s egos. Im sick of inhumanity. I’m sick of people’s lack of standing for something. Figure out who you are and stand on it. Helping people regardless of what they do with that help should be a guiding principle.

Too many unhealed people stink of greed, lack of self awareness, and overall disconnect from humanity.
