And just like that …. We are done with the scheduled speaking engagements of 2024!

We started and ended this year with the same conversation regarding using influencers for event amplification and marketing tactics.

The best part though? To use real life case studies and examples of attendees of our February lecture at our October lecture!

The structure of this seminar starts at a basic breakdown of influencers, content creators and UGC - the who, what, where, why and history. After a short coffee break, we dive into specific ways that influencers can be used to assist your marketing department, maximize a small budget, and breathe life into potentiallly burnt out content strategists in your marketing department.

For the last 30 minutes, we workshop live media kits of influencer rate cards I sourced specifically for the attendees of the event and we discuss who they would offer (and who they wouldn’t) and what their budget looks like.

We are officially two weeks away from the OREGON FAIRS ASSOCIATION's Annual Convention at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon, October 17-19, 2024. This year's theme is "Saddle Up For Success" and is the perfect fit for the team at Western Insights Media to be presenting.

Happening simultaneously at the same location as the OFA's annual convention is the 2024 Ram Columbia River Circuit Finals Rodeo. This is the perfect opportunity for the Rodeo Committees across the Pacific Northwest to jump in and join the conversations happening at the OFA Convention, with the Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association's head of marketing, Paul Woody, speaking as well.

Influencers Unleashed is a presentation that we first gave at the Oregon Festivals & Events Association conference at the beginning fo the year that dives into the Western Insights Media's strategy to use industry influencers and content creators to amplify your events marketing and presence.

Last week I shared with my personal social media followers why I loved Pinterest for business. This resulted in a lot of great conversations both publicly and in messenger/chat.

Social Media Literacy Monday Tip

Friendly Monday reminder that you should never make a Facebook Profile for a business or event. Businesses or events should always be managed by a Facebook Business Page. This is a Facebook Policy and there are legal ramifications that can happen.

With that being said, DO NOT accept a Facebook friend request from a business or event. This means it’s a personal profile NOT a business page. A business page CAN invite you to LIKE their page (after you’ve engaged and liked one of their posts).

We have seen an uptick of friend requests from friends businesses on our personal profiles, which means you’re either breaking the rules or someone is trying to hack your friends.
