Social Media Literacy Monday Tip
Friendly Monday reminder that you should never make a Facebook Profile for a business or event. Businesses or events should always be managed by a Facebook Business Page. This is a Facebook Policy and there are legal ramifications that can happen.
With that being said, DO NOT accept a Facebook friend request from a business or event. This means it’s a personal profile NOT a business page. A business page CAN invite you to LIKE their page (after you’ve engaged and liked one of their posts).
We have seen an uptick of friend requests from friends businesses on our personal profiles, which means you’re either breaking the rules or someone is trying to hack your friends.
