In 2008 Mitupo Investments Holdings created a community outreach entity called South African Youth Festival (SAYF). through SAYF we have spent over R6 million in community outreach programmes. This entity was officially launched by then Premier of Gauteng Mr Paul Mashatile in November 2008. The purpose of the SAYF has been to drive all our community development programmes with a special emphasis o
n the youth. The emphasis on young people is due to the fact that they are the one most affected by unemployment and are usually the ones who resort to crime in times of distress. SAYF has been very successful at this as shown below by the work that it has embarked on. SAYF has provided the following infrastructure and facilities:
2 classrooms in Ntlolwane Primary School , Nkandla , KZN (see booklet). Ablution facilities for both teachers and learners in Ntlolwane Primary School (see booklet). Over 600 desks and chairs in Ntlolwane Primary School (see booklet). Donated over R100,000 worth of equipment and furniture in Ntlolwane Primary school (see booklet). Donated over R100,000 worth of equipment and furniture to Nxamalala clinic in Nkandla (see booklet). Build a library at GuvhuguvhuSecondary school in Limpopo. Building a library in Thabong, Heinneman. Planning to build a library in the Eastern Cape before end of 2010. Donated two large classrooms t Ntolwane Primary School. Built septic tank for the school toilet facility at Ntolwane Primary School. Donated over 600 desks at Ntolwane Primary School. Donated the following to Ntolwane Primary School: fridge, TV, DVD, stove, microwave etc. Planted over 200 trees at Ntolwane Primary School. Renovated and painted a block of 4 classroom Ntolwana Primary School. Donated shoes to kids of Ntolwane Primary School. Provided IT connections to the schools abandoned computer center at Ntolwana Primary School. Renovated and repainted Nxamalala Clinic. Supplied Nxamalala Clinic with medical equipment.
