A cafe racer is a time capsule, transporting us back to the golden age of motorcycling when leather jackets, rolled-up jeans, and a thirst for adventure were the norm. It's a canvas for creativity, where mechanics and artists collide to birth machines of unparalleled beauty and performance.

Every curve, every weld, every carefully chosen component tells a story. A story of passion, dedication, and an unwavering love for two wheels. It's about the camaraderie shared with fellow enthusiasts, the endless tinkering in the garage, and the exhilaration of that first ride after a rebuild.

So, to all the dreamers, the builders, and the riders out there, let's raise a glass to the cafe racer. May the open road always beckon, and may our machines continue to inspire. 🏍️💨

In this episode of the Motocast Show, the guest Amit shares his experiences and insights about his Yamaha FZ25 bike. He considered other options such as the KTM Duke 250, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and Dominus, but ultimately chose the FZ25 for its riding comfort. Although the lack of a sixth gear is a disadvantage, Amit finds the bike's power and overall performance to be perfect.

The service intervals for the FZ25 are every 5,000 kilometers, and the average service cost is approximately 5,000 rupees. The maintenance costs for Yamaha bikes are higher, but Amit emphasizes the reliability and peace of mind that come with owning a Japanese brand.

Amit praises the FZ25's braking performance, with a 280 mm front disc and punchy ABS. The engine braking is also excellent, allowing for smooth deceleration without the need to downshift. Amit mentions that the engine's sweet spot is at 7,000 RPM, where the bike feels planted and responsive.

The cooling of the engine is good, with no heating issues even during long rides. Amit has ridden up to 650 kilometers effortlessly on the FZ25. He highlights the bike's comfort, which is particularly important for him due to his spondylitis condition.

The stock tires are not considered good, and Amit has changed them twice, currently using CEAT tires for better wet grip. He also mentions that the headlight throw is not satisfactory.

Overall, Amit highly recommends the Yamaha FZ25, especially for beginners or those looking for a pre-owned bike. He advises proper maintenance and servicing, as well as being prepared for the higher maintenance costs associated with Yamaha bikes. The FZ25 offers a comfortable ride, good power, and reliable performance, making it a great choice for motorcycle enthusiasts.
