When I think back at all we’ve been through to conceive our 🌈 baby and the journey took to get her cancer-free… it’s safe to say we’ve come a long way. This girl has experienced so much in her almost 9yrs of life. So much heartache & setbacks, but also so much joy, happiness & adventures!

Our wild child certainly lives everyday to the fullest and I’m so here for it. Can’t wait to see what comes next. She’s a 🌟💜

So proud of my girl! 💖 When we had to dive into homeschooling mid-year, I feared chaos, but we did it! Time4Learning.com made it smooth, and now we’re excited for 4th grade this fall. For now, I’m celebrating our 3rd grade graduate! She’s smart, beautiful, and unstoppable. Congrats, baby! 🎉📚

Our annual issue of Gay Parent Magazine – New York 2024-2025 is here!

Our cover story revisits an LGBTQ+ family we first profiled in 2016. Chelsea and Chris, along with their three children, are better known collectively as LBC PartyofFive - their online handle, where they post and vlog about their lives. The couple had already been vlogging for years when Chris decided to post a video to YouTube in June of 2016, where he officially set out to transition. Initially, Chris’ decision to transition caught Chelsea off guard. “I was in shock and taken back,” she recalls.

“Ultimately, we came to the conclusion that he was secure in his own manhood, and that my identity as a le***an does not threaten him,” Chelsea explains. “I’ve learned throughout this journey that I love him regardless of his gender. He is my ‘person’ and nothing will ever change that.”

School will be over soon and it’s time to think about plans for the summer. Each year in our January-February and March-April issues we publish a list of LGBTQ friendly camps and summer day programs that advertise in this issue. A couple of the camps are specifically for LGBTQ youth. Also listed are independent schools, some offering summer programs. The camps and schools are located in California, Connecticut, Colorado, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and remote/online.

Living for these moments with my babies!! And .jadaleigh the aspiring makeup artist/hair stylist loves to practice her skills on her life-size Barbie (aka Mom) 😆. She can be working my last nerve-cus she’s the most like me-but making memories like these is everything!

Yesterday was such an amazing day spent with my family (blood and chosen).

It was truly one of the best holiday experiences we have been able to enjoy thus far!

We made so many lasting memories, we laughed and told stories of the past, and then laughed until we cried! 😂 Family + good food and good 🍃 equals the best times. I am so grateful for each and everyone of them. My heart is Soul-FULL💜

I was always the girl with big dreams and a hustler mentality. And to people that know & love me it is common knowledge that I’m the one to go to and bet on! Mainly because they’ve never known me to fail.

To an extent, they are right. But, what they don’t know is how much I’d be suffering in silence and doubting myself-even though I still manage to come through. But, somewhere along the way that inner voice telling me I wasn’t good enough or worthy of being heard became the only voice I heard above all else. Yea, I’m performing-but is it enough? Could I have done more or better? Even in moments of success, here go that voice again-the manifestation of my childhood traumas speaking.

My journey of self-love and discovery has helped me grow and heal through those traumas. Then, I realized that voice was just a low vibrational hater that always had sh*t to say but ain’t never been right about ANYTHIN’!

I AM the woman of my own wildest dreams.
I AM the mother I wished I had as a child.
I AM worthy.
I AM loved.
I AM enough.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still doing the work to a better ME. But when applying the lessons I’ve learned along the way comes a new level of peace and clarity that leaves me excited and yearning for more!

Happy Friday Fam!! This is my holiday prep mental health check in. Is it just me, or is anyone else struggling to keep up? The time change really does mess me up y’all! 🤪

One of my favorite family gatherings is approaching and the LBC is hosting! When I say the LBC in this instance I mean me!😏 I still have a few things on my checklist to complete; the pressure is on and a lil anxiety is setting in. But, in times like these I have to remind myself perfection is not the goal.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This year, I’m delegating some tasks, and am confident that all will be as it should be. I’m excited and looking forward to be surrounded by family and friends. They are the purpose. Making lasting memories, eating good, laughing together all while enjoyin some good 🍃 herbs makes it all worth it!

Congratulations to my boo you are an amazing husband, father, friend and provider! You have always put family first even while it was taking a toll on you mentally, physically and even spiritually. I’m so proud of you… taking this leap babe! ✨

This isn’t the beginning of a new chapter-this is the beginning of a new book! That first book was cute while it lasted and I’m grateful for the opportunities and security it provided-but now its closed, and this new book has just begun! Oh how beautiful, refreshing and freeing this will be! 🙌🏾

Y’all, this was only 5yrs ago! 🥹 This girl right here has been through so much in her lifetime already and I can’t help but to look at her in awe and amazement.

She really has endured surviving cancer with so much grace-and for that she will always be an inspiration to me. No matter what is happening-cus we know how life be lifin sometimes-remain humble, find the joy even in the pain and just keep pushin forward.
