Nikon has shared its agreement to acquire 100% of RED Digital Cinema. Here’s what we know.

Towards the end they talk about "does gear matter." I'd say back 10, 15, 20 years ago, that answer was yes. Now days, with the advancements on phone cameras, that is NOT the case. You always needed gaffers, set designers, ACs, but now they are so much more essential. Because EVERYONE has a great camera, but not EVERYONE has that team behind the camera.

When we upgraded our editing stations to computers without optical drives, we realized that was the beginning of the end of DVD physical media. As such, we had to quickly pivot, and we built a streaming platform from our website for our clients with download options so they could store them locally.

Do you still use physical media? Let us know in the comments.

After 25 years of shipping DVDs to customers in its signature red envelopes, Netflix is hitting the “stop” button today on that legacy operation. (It just released a nostalgic short video look back…

When we opened our doors in 2011 in Springfield, IL, we had one goal in mind: "Raise the production standards by which similar companies operate." This allowed us to show Springfield the value of quality video production over our competitors. The problem is that it didn't seem like a lot of people cared.

So, we moved to Chicago, and we're seeing a STARK contrast. So many talented competitors in this market. We're not entirely sure how to compete, but we've got some ideas. Business isn't exactly closed, more suspended, but we'll be back as soon as we can get some footing.

Our Story

In 2011, Jerrid Foiles started Foil-Wrapped Productions with one goal. To improve the standard of video production in his area.

Jerrid started in the field at a young age. In high school he excelled in his Communications Technology class, which introduced him to the industry. After college, Jerrid found work for a plethora of his competitors, including a local television station. After a solid run as an employee, it was then that Jerrid was inspired to go into business himself. Several years later, Jerrid relocated the company to Chicago to be more accessible to the right customers.
