Take Time to Be Holy:

Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord;
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word.
Make friends of God's children, help those who are weak,
Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.Take time to be holy, the world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone.
By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see.Take time to be holy, let Him be thy Guide;
And run not before Him, whatever betide.
In joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord,
And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His Word.Take time to be holy, be calm in thy soul,
Each thought and each motive beneath His control.
Thus led by His Spirit to fountains of love,
Thou soon shalt be fitted for service above.

We Praise Thee, O God:

We praise Thee, O God!
For the Son of Thy love,
For Jesus who died,
And is now gone above.We praise Thee, O God!
For Thy Spirit of light,
Who has shown us our Savior,
And scattered our night.
Chorus:All glory and praise
To the Lamb that was slain,
Who has borne all our sins,
And has cleansed ev'ry stain.
Chorus:Revive us again;
Fill each heart with Thy love;
May each soul be rekindled
With fire from above.Hallelujah! Thine the glory,
Hallelujah! Amen;
Hallelujah! Thine the glory,
Revive us again.

Hark! Ten Thousand Harps and Voices:

Hark, ten thousand harps and voices
Sound the note of praise above!
Jesus reigns, and Heav'n rejoices,
Jesus reigns, the God of love;
See, He sits on yonder throne;
Jesus rules the world alone.Jesus, hail! Whose glory brightens
All above, and gives it worth;
Lord of life, Thy smile enlightens,
Cheers, and charms Thy saints on earth;
When we think of love like Thine,
Lord, we own it love divine.Come, ye saints, unite your praises
With the angels round His throne;
Soon, we hope, our God will raise us
To the place where He is gone.
Meet it is that we should sing,
Glory, glory, to our King!Sing how Jesus came from heaven,
How He bore the cross below,
How all power to Him is given,
How He reigns in glory now.
'Tis a great and endless theme
O, 'tis sweet to sing of Him.King of glory, reign forever!
Thine an everlasting crown.
Nothing from Thy love shall sever
Those whom Thou hast made Thine own:
Happy objects of Thy grace,
Destined to behold Thy face.Savior, hasten Thine appearing;
Bring, O bring the glorious day,
When, the awful summons bearing,
Heaven and earth shall pass away;
Then with golden harps we'll sing,
"Glory, glory to our King!"

Holy is the Lord:

Holy, holy is the Lord Almighty,
Monarch of heaven,
To him be given
Glory in the highest, praise forevermore.Holy, holy is his habitation,
That which defileth,
He that revileth,
Never shall be able to enter in.Holy, holy are the hosts that serve him,
His laws obeying,
Their trophies laying
At his blessed feet, a sacrifice of love.In his wondrous majesty he reigneth,
Angels adore him,
Fear ye before him,
Bring a worthy tribute to his matchless name.Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,
We do adore thee, worship before thee,
Lord of all, gracious Creator,
Thou art forever hly, holy, holy.

Amazing Grace:

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.

Christ the Friend We Need:

Oft my heart has bled with sorrow,
Not a friend my grief to share;
But I yielded, Christ to follow,
And He took my load of care.
Once I sighed for peace and pleasure,
Felt a painful void within;
Life was gloomy, death a terror,
Till my soul was saved from sin.All this world is dark and dreary,
And the soul, designed for light,
Must be sad and lost forever,
While it gropes in sinful night.Sin made all my life so bitter,
Jesus makes it sweet and pure;
Now I'm free from every fetter,
Blest with peace forevermore.Is there here a soul in trouble?
Whosoever needs a friend,
Jesus' love your heart will gladden,
Bless and keep you to the end.

When I Survey the Wondrous Cross:

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood.See from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?His dying crimson, like a robe,
Spreads o'er His body on the tree;
Then I am dead to all the globe,
And all the globe is dead to me.Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all.

The Providence of God:

Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Psalm 85:12The seed was sown long months ago,
And, through the winter's cold and snow,
We trusted that God's care would bring
The green and tender blade in spring,
Which cherished by the sun and rain
Of summer, now has yielded grain
In autumn, when the reaper leaves
His cot to cut and bind the sheaves,
And load with them the nodding wain
Which bears them homeward from the plain.So God's great mercies thus abound;
His love still brings the seasons round;
His blessings fill our happy fields,
And all our land its increase yields:
So if we serve Him as we should,
Our Lord will give us all things good;
And He who doth the ravens feed
Much more will give us all we need!

God Is the Fountain:

God is the fountain whence
Ten thousand blessings flow;
To Him my life, my health, and friends,
And every good, I owe.The comforts He affords
Are neither few nor small;
He is the source of fresh delights,
My portion and my all.He fills my heart with joy,
My lips attunes for praise;
And to His glory I'll devote
The remnant of my days.

Breathe On Me, Breath of God:

Breathe on me, breath of God,
Fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love,
And do what Thou wouldst do.Breathe on me, breath of God,
Until my heart is pure,
Until with Thee I will one will,
To do and to endure.Breathe on me, breath of God,
Blend all my soul with Thine,
Until this earthly part of me
Glows with Thy fire divine.Breathe on me, breath of God,
So shall I never die,
But live with Thee the perfect life
Of Thine eternity.

My Maker and My King:

My Maker and my King,
To Thee my all I owe;
Thy sovereign bounty is the spring
Whence all my blessings flow;
Thy sovereign bounty is the spring
Whence all my blessings flow.The creature of Thy hand,
On Thee alone I live;
My God, Thy benefits demand
More praise than I can give.
My God, Thy benefits demand
More praise than I can give.Lord, what can I impart
When all is Thine before?
Thy love demands a thankful heart;
The gift, alas! how poor.
Thy love demands a thankful heart;
The gift, alas! how poor.O! let Thy grace inspire
My soul with strength divine;
Let every word and each desire
And all my days be Thine.
Let every word and each desire
And all my days be Thine.

Upon the Circumcision:

Ye flaming Powers, and winged Warriours bright,
That erst with Musick, and triumphant song
First heard by happy watchful Shepherds ear,
So sweetly sung your Joy the Clouds along
Through the soft silence of the list'ning night;
Now mourn, and if sad share with us to bear
Your fiery essence can distill no tear,
Burn in your sighs, and borrow
Seas wept from our deep sorrow,
He who with all Heav'ns heraldry while are
Enter'd the world, now bleeds to give us ease;
Alas, how soon our sin
Sore doth begin
His Infancy to sease!O more exceeding love or law more just?
Just law indeed, but more exceeding love !
For we by rightfull doom remediles
Were lost in death, till he that dwelt above
High thron'd in secret bliss, for us frail dust
Emptied his glory, ev'n to nakednes;
And that great Cov'nant which we still transgress
Intirely satisfi'd,
And the full wrath beside
Of vengeful Justice bore for our excess,
And seals obedience first with wounding smart
This day, but O ere long
Huge pangs and strong
Will pierce more neer his heart.

Standing at the Portal:

Standing at the portal of the opening year,
Words of comfort meet us, hushing every fear;
Spoken thru the silence by our Savior's voice,
Tender, strong and faithful, making us rejoice."I, the Lord, am with thee, be thou not afraid;
I will help and strengthen, be thou not dismayed.
Yea, I will uphold thee with My own right hand;
Thou art called and chosen in My sight to stand."For the year before us, O what rich supplies!
For the poor and needy living streams shall rise;
For the sad and sinful shall His grace abound;
For the faint and feeble perfect strength be found.He will never fail us, He will not forsake;
For His eternal covenant He will never break.
Resting on the promise, what have we to fear?
God is all sufficient for the coming year.Onward, then, and fear not, children of the day;
For His Word shall never, never pass away.

Sing Praise to the Lord:

Sing praise to the Lord! Praise Him in the height;
Rejoice in His Word, you angels of light.
You heavens, adore Him by Whom you were made,
And worship before Him in brightness arrayed.Sing praise to the Lord! Praise Him on the earth
In tuneful accord, you saints of new birth.
Praise Him Who has brought you His grace from above;
Praise Him Who has taught you to sing of His love.Sing praise to the Lord! All things that give sound,
Each jubilant chord, re-echo around.
Loud organs, His glory tell forth in deep tone,
And trumpets, the story of what He has done.Sing praise to the Lord! Thanksgiving and song
To Him be outpoured all ages along!
For love in creation, for Heaven restored,
For grace of salvation, sing praise to the Lord!

O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go:

O Love that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give thee back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.O Light that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine's blaze, its day
May brighter, fuller be.O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbos through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain
That morn shall tearless be.O Cross that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life's glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red,
Life that shall endless be.
