I'm happy to announce that the sequels to SECRET RADIO PARTS 1 & 2 are now available, A STANDARD CHRISTIAN Parts 1 & 2, in which Grace strikes out on her own, "out from under the umbrella of her father's protection) to work her way up through the Management program at a major Department store in the Black Mountain (NC) area.

Like so many of us, Grace quickly realizes that her IFB education is substandard, and she considers the possibility of one day getting a real degree. She also encounters being stalked and harassed by a man in her church, and at the same time she makes friends with her team at the store and with her neighbors.

The recurrence of s*xual abuse cases against children in the IFB once again drives her to question God and question her own responsibilities, but now Grace is around decent people: believers and unbelievers. Her reaction is more focused and purposeful. She also sees, from the sidelines, the IFB machine out a gay man and drive him out of town because he speaks for the victims.

This is a true coming of age story, as well as a coming of faith story as Grace grapples with what it really means to be a Christian, after all the counterfeiting of Fundamentalism.

Malo Victor Monteiro has failed to register as a s*x offender. S*x offenders are required to keep their registrations updated.)

He is currently living as a transient in California and would probably try to attach himself to an Independent Fundamental Baptist church or similar Fundamentalist church.

In 2018, Monteiro pled guilty to four counts of lewd acts on a child of 14-15 years of age with the defendant at least 10 years older, two counts of s*xual pe*******on with a foreign object, and one count of attempted copulation of a minor.

From 2001 through early 2014, I documented the s*xual abuse of children in Christian Fundamentalism. Ultimately, I documented 108 cases. In every case, the church failed to obey the Scripture and do the right thing. Quite the opposite: many times, the child victim and the family of the child victim were blamed, shunned, and driven from the church, while the child molesting pastor, elder, deacon, Sunday School teacher was honored and protected.

Hyles-Anderson was a hot bed of scandal and abuse, especially in the early 1990's. A couple of years after I started documenting clergy s*x abuse cases in Fundamentalism, I realized that the plight of women, even those not s*xually abused, was not being documented.

So I started a blog under the pen name of Grace Jovian and recorded the events around 1993-94 at the fictional Greater Indiana Baptist College (GIBC). I posted it on the first FIghting Fundamentalist Forum.

At the time, it raised hell. I turned it into a novel series.

If you're curious about what life was like at HAC and in Fundamentalism, especially the day to day treatment of young women, especially in the days when Jack Hyles was at his zenith., this book will appeal to you. As horrible as Fundamentalism is, it's also funny, and a lot of this book is also a comedy.
