We've just added The Mellstock Band's "Songs of Thomas Hardy's Wessex" to our growing catalogue of folk songs. Thomas Hardy's Wessex is the fictional literary landscape created by the English author Thomas Hardy as the setting for his major novels, located in the south and southwest of England. The Mellstock Band captured the mood of Hardy's writings with this collection of traditional songs from this 2009 CD.

Here is one our latest editions to the Traditionalfolkradio.com catalogue. After the group's debut LP, 1966's "Freedom Come All Ye," this follow-up, "The Hale and the Hanged," was released in 1967. Formed in 1964, The Exiles were Bobby Campbell (fiddle, mandola, mandolin, guitar, vocals), Enoch Kent (whistle, vocals), and Gordon McCulloch (guitar, banjo, harmonica, vocals). So named because the three, from Glasgow, were living and working in London. Campbell died in 1997. Source: https://themusicgatherer.blogspot.com/2010/11/exiles-hale-and-hanged-1967.html

Cliff Haslam's "The Clockwinder" is our latest edition to the TraditionalFolkRadio.com library. With one of the strongest voices in the folk revival, Haslam sings a group of English songs that range from powerful to tender, genteel to b***y. Harmonies and additional accompaniments are provided by Gordon Bok, at whose home this album was recorded.
