It's been so hot around here lately I think a little throwback to a short video we made about a local snow-maker sounds nice!

Wichita Snow Bros is the exact type of story we love to tell. Fueled by passion to give locals a snowy winter even when mother nature doesn't Toby and team use their self made / self funded equipment to make snow to be enjoyed by the community. Great work!

Head to Youtube to check it out. Give a like, share, follow to help us keep spreading the positive stories of the seldom heard!

A short story about Toby. Toby loves snow play and believes winter and childhood aren't the same without it. The past few years Wichita has had less snow a...

We are working on some cool stuff with Toby Davis and did a little exploring last weekend. His knowledge and passion are amazing. My youngest son came with us and loves rocks and exploring. He had the time of his life and came home with quite the treasure trove of fossils, rocks, agates, bones, crystals, and random awesomeness. Toby does this full-time and we are stoked to share a bit of his story. Keep an eye out for more stuff. In the meantime here are a few photos from the most recent adventure with him!

I got to jump up to Visit Emporia this past Saturday to captures and footage at Unbound Gravel for a project. Lots of great footage was had at this truly incredible event.

But as always finding those inner stories and meeting people is the best part. I spent some time going around camp interviewing some riders and after interviewing we realized we had the same first name. We talked quite a bit and then I just happened to be on course and caught a quick capture of him killing the 200 mile course.

I love how passions and interests can bring people from across the United States and the globe together.

We got the opportunity a few weeks ago to attend an awesome class put on by Rendezvous Adventure Outfitters. It was a cooking class taught by Outdoor Eats Chef Corso. So much awesome information and really got me stoked to get outside of my normal trail meals and do some cooking! Little teaser video here, go to our Youtube page to see the full video, link in the comment.

Love the community and events Rendezvous Adventure Outfitters is building!

While we were outside last night enjoying the weather I snuck in a time lapse of the clouds in the distance. It shot for about 20 minutes. It’s pretty amazing how much movement there is in that amount of time even though it’s hard to see movement while just watching the clouds.

Exciting stuff coming up soon. Make sure to follow to catch announcements and we always appreciate a share!

We've got a Seldom Heard story for you today!

Just over 100 years ago in 1924 the first ever circumnavigation of the earth by air was accomplished. It took 175 days.

This year a group from Global Jet Care in collaboration with Classic Lear Jet Foundation set out from Wichita, Kansas, to set a new record for circumnavigation by air going westbound. They succeeded safely in a time of 67 hours and 28 minutes, just a little bit faster than the first time 100 years ago!

Another cool aspect of this story is that it was done to raise funds for the Classic Lear Jet Foundation who are restoring the first ever Learjet that was delivered.

I was lucky enough to get brought in to shoot some aerial media of the start of the trip.

Such a cool story of endurance that shows the incredible progress we have made in the last 100 years. Well done to all involved!

It's been a long time coming.

Seldom Heard is a project built and created for a very specific reason. I simply needed a place to share my adventures, journey, and stories I shoot.

Check out the video to learn a bit more. Follow, share, and join me as we share the stories and visuals that are Seldom Heard!

One year ago today my first full length documentary premiered at the Orpheum in downtown Wichita. It was an amazing night.

The film, Least of These, is a story about a group of cyclists traveling from Syria, Virginia, to Lebanon, Kansas to raise awareness and money for Refugees. To date this group over the years has raised over $300,000.

The day after the premiere I started a new job and life got crazy. So today on this one year anniversary I wanted to share footage of the premiere night and once again say thank you to all those who participated in this adventure and supported me through the many many hours producing this film. Telling and being a part of this story has made a huge impact on my life and I hope the film can inspire others to use their passions for the greater good.

The film is also now available to view for free on our Youtube page so if you get the time please watch and share! And if you want to help with the continued needs of refugees the guys are back at it again this year traveling from Mexico to Canada, donate and learn about that at www.ride4refugees.com

Burning has a long history in Kansas stretching way back before it was Kansas.

I got the chance to hang out with some people from The Nature Conservancy and a bunch of awesome volunteers recently. I was able to experience a burn from beginning to end and it was very cool. Thanks for the experience!

Of course we participated in the viewing today!

Here in Wichita we were at about 88% totality. First picture is a composite of two photos from today. One to show sunlight and streaks, one that showed the sliver at full totality for us.

I also for the fun of it made a composite with a shot of the moon I took months ago sized to be accurate but to show a view we can’t see with glasses alone.

Glad to get to hang out with fam and see it!

The city of Wichita created some drops for kayakers to use in order to enter the lower part of the Arkansas River south of the dam at Lincoln St. I wonder if you need a special kayak or a helmet to traverse these small drops. Note that the dam itself is super dangerous and you don't want to go over that part in a kayak.

A couple days ago I got to start my morning capturing a time lapse from a gorgeous hillside. It was a beautiful morning, took a chance to make some biscuits and gravy. While hanging out I noticed that so many of the rocks in the area were packed full of fossils and bones, lots of cool stuff!
