New Music on Aatma today from Spycker, with his latest release "Polytrichum Commune".

Spycker is Amsterdam-based musician/producer Michiel Omtzigt, who as been active since 2008. Textural, atmospheric and cinematic are just a few words to describe Spycker’s music. On "Polytrichum Commune, Spycker has created a diverse symphony of tone and color, shifting effortlessly from slow-evolving drones to glitchy electronics and back again across the course of the album's 33 minutes.

New music from Chris Russell & eyes cast down on earthMANTRA today!

eM is back in 2023 with the return of Chris Russell, whose "Still", "Spectra" and "Venus" releases have been some of the most purchased / downloaded among our growing catalog. This time, however he is joined by an old friend. Greg Moorcroft has been quietly recording high-quality pastoral ambient music as 'eyes cast down' for the better part of a decade, though this marks his first release on earthMANTRA. "Fragments" is the second collaborative work by this pair, following on from 2014's "Memory Palace".

Chris Russell returns to Aatma with a deeply personal response to the Covid-19 pandemic that has had such a powerful impact on our lives, our culture and the way we relate to each other. It's a challenging and heartfelt response to a time that no-one saw coming, and that we were all completely unprepared for. Chris had this to say about the album.

"Pandemonium was recorded during the lockdown and week-long quarantine during the pandemic of 2020. Having nowhere to go and lack of places to relax, I chose to go into the studio and work through what I was feeling during the scary and trying early months of 2020."
