This show also features a very personal mix that pays tribute to the legend that was Pharoah Sanders who sadly passed away this week.

The only downside is the occasional mindless intervention from me as I struggle to fill the gaps between tunes. Not ideal obviously, but a small price to pay.

New Proper Music show just uploaded to Mixcloud. Tonight we focus exclusively on chilled soulful, jazzy, housey and…um…electronicy tunes from the last three years. I’m old enough and ugly enough to recognise this won’t appeal to all tastes, but if it sweetens the deal any, there’s exquisite jazz drumming, dirty bass playing, smooth Chicago-style stepping, and a short melodic house mix for the true heads. Oh, and a very decent guest appearance from Damon Albarn for good measure.
