International Women’s Day! Tag your fellow women in the film industry. It takes us all supporting one another! Films with at least one woman director employed substantially more women in other key behind-the-scenes roles than films with exclusively male directors. In 2022, 24% of the film industry consisted of women working as directors, writers, producers, executive producers, editors, and cinematographers according to a study by The Celluloid Ceiling that tracked employment on the 250 top grossing U.S. films for the last 25 years.

Today is the sweet 16 birthday of Indigo Life. The ambitious and curious spirit of our founder, Andrew White saw wonder at ever corner and chose to pick up a camera and start shooting a reality show. A network in Los Angeles found this show on YouTube. Andrew found himself, just a kid from Fairborn, at the table negotiating with the big guys and that’s when Andrew knew it was time to go all in. With no formal training and a figure it out as you go mentality, here we are 16 years later. Never forget where you started. Every obstacle has been an opportunity to grow into a production company specializing in entertainment and advocacy.
