We also rep composers, custom songs, remixes, and have a recording studio for artists/bands. We work closely with our artists, producers, songwriters, composers, artist teams, and labels to create sustainable long-term careers in the m

“Wild”, the debut single from Young Slang, slinks along like a lazy chant then slowly reveals its true intention. Restrained at first, a sleazy nightclub saxophone sets the stage for the eventual explosion of energy and angst. Reminiscent of 90’s Morphine mixed with de-tuned post disco...this is a perfectly polite insolent anthem of youth and freedom.

Vocal reckless abandon, set against post disco drums easily slides into comparisons with The Clash, Vi**ra Boys, IDLES and LCD Soundsystem.

Folkways is growing! We’re looking for someone with music licensing experience to join our team as a Licensing and Publishing Assistant. This position works extensively with our catalog of over 60,000 tracks to ensure that potential licensees are properly pitched, plus provides administrative and organizational support to the Licensing and Publishing department at the label. The annual salary is based on the GS-7 level of the federal General Schedule (GS) pay system, and the role is eligible for telework and remote work.
