Your thoughts?
Good Morning East Pokot County.
.....
Hon. Kamket meets Rift Valley Technical Training Institute officials before proceeding to Chemolingot for a summit at the Tiaty Technical Training Institute. The institution will be opening doors to its first batch of students in September this year.
This comes a day after officials from the KMTC Board visited Tiaty to inspect the construction works of KMTC-Tiaty Campus in Chemolingot.
It is quite saddening that public servants who ought to be discharging their duties with utmost impartiality and objectivity are taking sides and calling other communities names.
This unmeasured bigotry by Baringo County Commissioner Mr. Wafula against the Pokot Nation is unfortunate and MUST be condemned as it erodes the successes made in the search for peace and tranquility in Baringo.
Such utterances by a high-ranking Government Officer and Chair of the County Security Team in the volatile Baringo County also frustrate the efforts being put by our leaders in ensuring that peace and normalcy resumes in our County.
The Pokot Nation demands an apology from the County Commissioner for this unnecessary and demeaning attack on our benevolence as a Pokot people.

SERIOUS HUMANITARIAN CRISIS
As the the security operation continues in Tiaty, the roadblocks that have been erected at various entry points where vehicles ferrying foodstuffs are denied entry have caused an acute shortage of this critical commodity in the Constituency.
Residents of Silale and Loiyamorock are the most hit. The elderly and small children are starving in their homes. The situation is very dire. Security officers have pitched camp in the main waterpoints in the area denying the residents access to this important resource.
