WHAT PH CAN LEARN FROM THAILAND TOURISM?

Bangkok, Thailand is the most visited city in the world. Tinalo na niya ang Paris at London sa record. Anong meron sa Thailand? Eh 3 oras na lipad na lang, Pilipinas na. The reasons why Thailand stands out among top tourist destinations are: rich culture, natural beauty, safety, food, affordability, nightlife, improving infrastructure, and the PEOPLE.

Meron naman ganito lahat ang Pilipinas, but we need more improvements in the accessibility and connectivity sides to create a more tourist-friendly atmosphere.

Thailand has already shifted to full digitalization of their tourism infra. Lahat QR code na, including its tourism map. With the Marcos administration’s push for e-governance measures, I hope that our tourism’s digital infra will also get a major upgrade.

I’ve been talking with a lot of Taguigeños recently and I swear I can see a glimmer in their eyes when our topic moves to the recent decision by the Supreme Court in favor of including into Taguig City 10 disputed barangays previously under Makati City's jurisdiction.
