James Ewan Tait is playing a full-band gig at Sidney & Matilda tomorrow night with Precious Metals and Slacks, advance tickets only £5

Playing full-band headline show at Sidney & Matilda on Tuesday 21st May with Slacks and Precious Metals.

We'll hopefully be releasing a new single around the same time.

We probably won't play many more gigs this year.

Our keys player is playing in all three bands.

Amazing line-up this Saturday at Hatch, featuring the dreamy darkwave of Ora Cogan (Canada), indigo bedroom-pop of Mayshe-Mayshe (York), electronic choral experimentalism of DAVA (Georgia), and meandering lo-fi guitar melodies of Alys Rain (Hatch).

Mayshe Mayshe is making her first return to Sheffield since our sold-out show at Bishops House in 2019, and is currently touring the release of her second album.

Ora Cogan is making her second visit to Hatch (I think the first was 2018?), this time with band, off the back of their UK tour with Aoife Nessa Frances.

DAVA was at one time an active member of the Sheffield music community, regularly contributing to events and performances at Hatch and Regather, before moving to Georgia in 2019.

Alys Rain is a new project of Hatch stalwart Izzy Hadlum, with a debut EP due this December.

Specimens by James Ewan Tait is released on Pigeon Hands Recordings today. An ode to the varied flora and fauna in and around the River Don, Specimens was recorded between lockdowns and features Tait's pre-pandemic live band.
