Hebrews 13:1-3
1 Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. 2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
We are in a time in this world where the word God is speaking, but His children aren't listening. We are turning a blinded eye to Gods word. My mother wrote a song, when I was a young child and the melody in her voice I can hear so loud and clear, "The signs of the times are all around us, can't you see the signs can't you see the signs." We are truly living in the days of what I will call the "Wind Up".
Pay attention, you can clearly see, freezes and heat temperatures in different states are rising to unbearable record breaking temperatures. Hurricanes on the west coast making landfall in California, Maui fire devastation, wildfires, sickness and disease plaguing in unprecedented numbers. Store shelves empty and short on the very supplies that used to be plentiful. The poverty rates are increasing and homeless rate rising to over a half a million experiencing homelessness in the US. There has been a rise is mental illness and drug addiction due to lack of care or inadequate care. Housing has become unaffordable, and short on affordable housing needs. Millions Women, men and children are being human and labor trafficked around the world.
We are in a time where loving one another, is a concept we as Christians have allowed to be crowded out of our lives, by selfish ambitions, rat races, and the desires of this world, which has captured our attention more than serving the Lord. We are failing to meet the requirements of the life God said we are to live.
What happened to love, joy, peace. patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control?(Galatians 5:22) What happen to these the fruits we are to bear and embody? We have lost our way as the body of believers to either pressure to pursue the things of the world and not chase after the life God requires of us, or we are bound by fear, worry and doubt.
We must turn back to God, repent, ask for renewed strength, reclamation of the faith and relationship with our Father in which many of us as Christians has fallen away from.
I don't know if you have fallen away from the one whom salvation came through to you, but its "Go Time." Return to your first love, Jesus Christ, for through Him comes the love of our Father, protection and provision.
We must repent, and not be like the towns Jesus denounced for unrepentance.( Matt 11:20-24)
We must then learn to love one another as brothers and sisters, show hospitality to strangers, remember those who are imprisoned as if we ourselves where the ones suffering. (Hebrew 13-1:3) We must remember to be like Christ in all we do and say daily, by leading with a loving heart honoring and living out loud the fruits of the spirit. Give God Glory
