When I decided to get serious about starting a website of my own, coming up with the right name was a challenge. One day, I thought back upon my own life. I have always had the knack of rising from the ashes of any flames life has thrown my way. This made me recall the legend of the phoenix. When I mentioned this to a good friend and fellow contributor, we finally had the perfect title for this si

te. It has become abundantly clear that endorsements and opinions are for sale in the corporate-infused mainstream media. They have been bought and sold, beholden to the special interests. Thus, the need for an honest media source that is dedicated to the truth. Here at Phoenix, our opinions are NOT for sale. We cannot be bought, no matter how much money or how many perks are waved in front of our noses. What we write is what we genuinely believe in.
