FREE CITY INC. is actively seeking to listen to artists, bands and all types of musicians based in Vancouver, BC. FCI operates as a digital label with the fundamental belief that artists do not need the typical music ’manager’, yet rather someone who is invested in the artists’ career creatively first and foremost. FCI had most notably worked with Canadian New Wave and Independent Rock band Metric. This became a successful and crucial time for the band as they embarked on their biggest tour to date for 2012’s Juno-nominated “Synthetica”. FCI has worked with many other clients across the board with varying levels of structure in the New Wave, Electronic, Rock, Punk and Alternative genres. I noticed a lot of people have been checking out the page recently. That's cool. Still open to working on new projects.. Here's the bio:

Free City Inc. was officially established in 2010 after garnering success by working with Canadian rock vets Metric. F.C.I provided digital services for Metric shortly after the release of their platinum selling record Fantasies and for their internationally successful follow-up, Synthetica. We also assisted in project managing the special edition vinyl release of Fantasies Flashbacks along with the team at Crystal Math Management.

F.C.I also worked on various projects, as needed, for Lady Gaga collaborators The Midway State and the Gene Simmons / Crystal Math Management joint-venture The Envy. Focusing on direct-to-fan communications and online technology, F.C.I also spearheaded campaigns for the release of Juno nominated band Jets Overhead’s record “Boredom and Joy”.

We also ventured into artist management, co-managing Gold & Youth alongside Tegan & Sara’s management team. Gold & Youth released their album “Beyond Wilderness” on Arts & Crafts in 2013.

F.C.I has also worked with other music-based online startup’s and have coached multiple other artists at the start front-end of their projects.

I'm gonna release my own film on FREE CITY INC. as well as the soundtrack :::: "I feel optimistic because I can finally talk about this more freely... “VISION/ABYSS” is my self-directed documentary that ties together 3 elements: 1) Following my travels between Vancouver and Rishikesh, India as well as my personal journey and growth through spirituality. 2) The current climate of drug abuse & the opioid crisis in the epicentre of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. 3) Exploring addiction and mental health within the South Asian community as well as RACISIM, POLITICS and OPINIONS that exist within all 3 of these these realms. I feel that there is a deafening amount of silence here and that we gotta shed light on the matter. The intention is to create a piece to screen at high schools, colleges and groups before it gets anywhere else. The film will use 3 years of footage captured in a pro studio, on flip cams, iPhones, Photobooth etc. I have full creative control, I will self-direct, release it through my existing label & soundtrack this. 2016 sees Free City Inc. officially establishing itself in Vancouver and venturing into the world of radio broadcasting, working directly with Pulse 107.7 FM. Pulse FM is the first radio station dedicated to the South Fraser region and it runs independently with no ownership by massive media corporations. F.C.I pushes daily social content ranging from politics to music to a population of over half a million people.

After finding success in multiple areas of the industry in the last 7 years, there’s still more big news to come… so stay tuned, stay free.
