Grade 6 Bosconian Gazette staffers attend the 2nd day and culminating activity of the Bosconian Quill 2024

Earlier today, our aspiring journalists had the pleasure of listening to distinguished personalities who instilled the significance of revolutionizing journalism in the post-pandemic era. Although the event came to an end, the learnings left a lasting imprint on our prospective writers as they remained motivated to hone their skills as soon-to-be professional journalists.

In the afternoon, some of our selected staffers prepared for their upcoming Dep Ed Makati Division of Schools Press Conference and Contest which will be held tomorrow, February 24. Our Bosconian Gazette animators and a few selected teachers coached our staffers about the essence of journalism across categories such as news writing, editorial writing, and feature writing, to name a few.

Best of luck, Bosconian Gazette!

Don Bosco Makati 2324-322

The Elementary Department hosted a momentous celebration honoring St. John Bosco through an event entitled โ€œWandering Oratory Paradeโ€.

In line with our patron saintโ€™s โ€œDream At 9โ€, Grades 3 to 6 students and LMPs from the Elementary Department transformed into little Johns and Mama Margarets as they wandered through the campus last January 30, 2024.

When everyone headed back to the Magone Dome, the second part of the program began with a prayer led by Ms. Ma. Annabelle P. Tronco and welcoming remarks by our principal, Dr. Dondon B. Buensuceso.

The event was followed by heartfelt performances of Don Boscoโ€™s songs prepared by the students and teachers from Grades 3 to 6 levels.

Fr. Cyril Vincent S. Noel, SDB, reminded our dear Bosconians to be dreamers too, like Don Bosco, and be of good examples to others in realizing the dream that is anchored with faith, love, and respect.

The celebration concluded with a final blessing and a community singing of โ€œLive the Dreamโ€.

Selected Kindergarten pupils also kept their fellow entertained by roleplaying as the cast of โ€˜The Three Little Pigsโ€™. Meanwhile, the Grade 1 students enjoyed a series of rhythmic and physical activities as well as won special prizes for games. Moreover, Grades 2-3 level attended an amusing and entertaining magic show and balloon twisting where students kept their eyes glued on the hilarious and comical presentations of the guests.

In the afternoon, The Grade 4 students were gathered to watch a movie about Don Bosco which was followed by a crossword puzzle activity. The Grade 5 students participated in a thrilling set of games entitled โ€œLucky Seven Tournamentโ€ where the students competed and won exciting prizes. The Grade 6 level held its own film festival and allowed students to relax and bond with their friends and classmates. On top of that, they also attended a Tech Tour in the morning facilitated by JHS department where they got a glimpse of the technical programs offered in the curriculum such as Automotive Design, Electronics Design, and Creative Design to name a few.

The Elementary Department kicks off the first batch of Outbound Education

The Grade 5 and 6 students joined the Outbound Activity of the Elementary Department of Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati.

Students gathered at the Magone Dome on January 12, 2024 and were accompanied by their advisers and other LMPs for an assembly and some reminders.

The tour started with a visit at Our Lady of Remedies where students offered their personal prayers to their loved ones. Then, students visited the Clark Museum where they firsthand witnessed some of our countryโ€™s artifacts and their relevance in our history.

After the lunch break, students toured at the Dinosaurs Islands where they saw a mock-up of various kinds of dinosaurs and seven wonders of the world. Some students also took part of the 7D movie experience and Jungle Train Safari.

Moreover, students reflected on the significance of the tour and their experiences to enhance cultural awareness as well as improve overall learning.

This also marks as a momentous event as the first outbound activity in four years due to the coronavirus outbreak in 2020.
