Brilliant to see the peace sign ☮️ back in pride of place on the pyramid stage at Glastonbury this year.

Here’s a little film we made about where it came from. 🕊✌️❤️

Delighted to have produced these podcasts for dCS. Some amazing insight.

In episode 2 of our podcast exploring the history of Mercury Living Presence, we take a look at the dCS 900: the pioneering A to D converter used to transfer Mercury’s vast catalogue of classical recordings to the digital domain in the 1980s and 90s.

Through interviews with dCS founder Mike Story and Released in 1989, we learn about dCS’s move from radar into audio, the creation of the 900 and its influence on later generations of dCS products. We also discover how the device helped Wilma Cozart Fine and mastering engineer Dennis Drake to produce a collection of CD remasters that are still beloved to this day.

Very sad news. A wonderful guy and such a joy to interview. A great loss to the music world but what a legacy!!

We’re incredibly saddened to hear that recording engineer, producer and 20-time GRAMMY winner Al Schmitt passed away this week aged 91. In a career spanning more than six decades, Al recorded and mixed over 150 gold and platinum albums for a huge range of artists, including Sam Cooke, Frank Sinatra, ELVIS PRESLEY, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Steely Dan, Diana Krall and Madonna.

We had the pleasure of working with Al at a dCS 30th Anniversary celebration at Capitol Studios in 2017 and last year as part of our dCS Legends initiative.

Speaking to us for our podcast series, The Other Side of the Glass, he shared some fascinating stories about his musical journey, from his childhood experiences assisting at his uncle's recording studio in Manhattan, to his work at New York's RCA Studios and the legendary Capitol Studios in California, and we were deeply inspired by his warmth, compassion and dedication to his craft. Throughout his remarkable career, he remained committed to achieving the highest standards in music production and honouring the extraordinary talents of all those he worked with.

Our thoughts go out to Al's family and friends at this difficult time, and everyone who collaborated with him over the years.
