Just finished listening to the final 'Johnny Walker's Sound of the Seventies' Show ... a def lump in my throat right now.
A marvellous broadcaster with a beautiful soothing voice and of course he plays 'the music of my youth' which is so so evocative for me and for so many people - magically whisking us up up and away on that wonderful magic carpet to our youth, like absolutely nothing else can.
I never met the man but I thank him hugely for doing just that one simple but oh so very significant thing for me in my life 🥲

Okay, The POSITIVE PROGRESS PODCAST is ** LIVE **

We are looking to spark off some lively debate, thoughts ideas and suggestions from yourselves so please do get involved.

We are intending to do one new episode a month from here on in.

*** BIG ANNIVERSARY ***
"45 years ago today, I joined what was then The South Wales Constabulary".
I am truly amazed and somewhat shell-shocked to be be typing those words. I was a baby boy of 20 years of age thrown out into the VERY REAL world, of which I had so very little practical knowledge, highlighted in a fancy dress outfit for all to see.
That is why the Emergency Services is such a marvellous learning arena in which to get a really rapid grounding in life and all it's ups and downs, ins and outs, sadness and joy and hope and despair. A very real example of 'Sink or Swim'. I really do marvel at how I just about kept my head above water on a number of occasions, but, I am proud that I did so.

Anyways peeps, this is where I go screaming off into the distance loudly proclaiming: "WHAT? 45 YEARS! NO, NO, PLEASE NO. THERE MUST BE SOME MISTAKE" 🥹

Due to family health issues I have been somewhat occupied so have not been in a position to prepare.

Quite a bit more than a teensy weensy bit excited to be coming back to Bro Radio at 7.00pm on Thursday 21st March with my all brand new show 'BEAT THE BLUES'
i will be melding together some 'real top tooons' with talking about some of the things that we can do to manage our mindsets, promote positive wellbeing and be as good as we can be in our own special circumstances

So please do listen in (It will be a monthly show to begin with and we will see how we go) as it is for you and you can see we grow this thing together.
