Metal Gear collection has shipped. Maybe I should premiere that on Tuesday and get myself neck deep in another game?
In all seriousness (if I can actually do that), Horizon and Spidey 2 has worn me out. Especially Horizon, and it's partially my own fault. The game kind of traps you. There's fast travel in the game, but the game kind of punishes you for using it because you need to fight machines to get XP to level up and get skills. Yes, you get XP for completing missions, but you have to get stronger to complete them. Because of that I find myself going on foot a lot. Climbing mountains and swimming and discovering. It's a huge time sink. I played it Saturday night from maybe midnight to 5am and hardly got anything done. It says I'm 45% done and I've played it for over 60 hours. It's a great game, but damn, I kind of regret starting it. Lol
Spidey 2 is fun. The map isn't as big as Forbidden West's map. At least it doesn't feel that way because traversal is quick. Because of that I don't mind the side missions and stuff, but when you have to cross the map in Forbidden West it's crazy because they do that s**t at the start of the game. Then you meet people and unlock all these side missions along the way that are made to have you do get XP so you're ready for the main mission that you're currently working on. It's a lot. Did I mention the swimming and all the stuff that opens up once you get the diving mask, and Aloy isn't a quick swimmer either.
Anyway, I'm going to take a night off away from the Playstation. I should be back on Tuesday with more Spidey 2.
