Miscarriage. The unspoken word. For us, I was 12 weeks along and it started with an ER visit, to almost passing out at my house losing so much blood from passing the baby, to that night the stomach flu hitting our entire family all while we were moving in 5 days. It was a week I never want to remember. But I grew that week. The night before I started bleeding I was at the gas station and remember staring at the candy but thinking to myself, "I don't feel pregnant". And I mean that in the sense that I still was very sick, nauseous, no appetite, things you FEEL when you are pregnant, but I did not FEEL how I felt with my other two children. Something was missing. Something was gone. But what was it because all the symptoms were there. Why didn't I feel pregnant? Fast forward to the middle of my horrific week after passing the baby, having the stomach flu and trying to pack up all of our families belongings, I remember praying to know what happened to this baby? I couldn't shake the thought that it was just f***l matter, blood... tissue. The next day my prayer was answered in a story about a man who was atheist and it wasn't until his older years that he became Christian. What switched was the day his wife died he recognized that something was gone that was there before. A soul. He felt it so strongly that he realized there must be more than just what we physically are and a part of us leaves and goes on when we die. Even though his story was about his aged wife who had died, I felt so connected with it with how I felt about this child inside of me. I could no longer feel it's little spirit. I believe God answers prayers and I believe this was my answer. This child had a soul and if this child had a soul, that soul is still somewhere, and I believe I will see that child again. We will never fully know or be able to prove whether or not there is a soul inside mothers wombs when they become pregnant. But I know where I stand on this issue and am grateful to a God who will answer my prayers. It is hard for me when I hear people trivialize miscarriage and other trials. Before I had experienced this, I have to say, when I heard other people having miscarriages I simply said "I'm sorry" but didn't really understand what I was saying sorry for. So to you who have gone through this, I am sorry for saying sorry but for not understanding and maybe even belittling your heartache. This has also made me think of all the trials other people go through in which I say, "I'm sorry your going through that" but don't really understand, even though I think I do. I feel a little more sensitive to other people's trials, If a trial that appears so "small" to others has affected me so deeply I can't imagine those who struggle through harder trials and what they are going through. Especially the ones I haven't myself experienced because I really just don't know what they are actually feeling even though though I understand the words they are saying..."divorce"..."addiction"..."leaving their religion"..."abuse"...."feeling lonely"... "depression"..."anxiety"...."death"...."illness"... all these labels we slap on these incredibly hard trials people go through yet each and everyone is different and unique to very individual and situation and we really have no idea what they are going through unless we are in their very situation. So I just want to say, I'm sorry I don't understand you and your trial. I'm sorry I've said I'm sorry but didn't really understand. I'm sorry if I've judged you for your trial. And I love you. I have a beautiful life with so many blessings but I have learned a lot through this and all the trials I have been through. I believe a major purpose of our trials is to learn, grow and become closer to and more like God. How could we without experience? When we lean on him through these trials we somehow are able to become stronger, better and find peace and hope through them. But leaning on him is what makes all the difference! I know that anytime in my life that I have grown it is because of trials, so in a very weird and twisted way I am grateful for my trials and how they humble me... Anyways, I wrote a song, and this song is for you little one. xoxo, Mama

Rescue Me- I dedicate this new song I wrote to anyone who has ever been a victim of drug/alcohol addiction, po*******hy addiction, gambling addiction, cutting, eating disorders, depression, loneliness, betrayal, r**e, or anything else you have had to, or will need to rely on Christ through. I am trying to write about better things. Hopefully I can make a better influence than I have. Christ lives!
