We can't wait to celebrate Ted's memory with all of our old and new friends at Joymongers on Saturday, April 22!

Mark your calendars! We are excited to announce TedFest II Memorial Jam!

In December 2021, The B-Sides lost their good friend and founding guitarist, Ted Hoffler. Ted's friends, some of the best guitarists in Greensboro, asked if they could sit in with The B-Sides for a memorial concert at Joymongers to honor his memory. The first TedFest in January 2022 was a rock and roll celebration of Ted's life with hundreds of old and new friends. By popular demand, we are making TedFest ll an even bigger celebration. On Saturday, April 22, from 3-11pm, Ted's buddies in 4 bands will rock LoFi Park at Joymongers. Join us for a beautiful day of live, classic rock and roll. As Ted often said, "Music is the healer".

A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: By popular demand there WILL BE a TedFest ll at Joymongers Brewing Co in 2023! On Saturday, April 22, 2023, TedFest ll will once again honor our old buddy, Ted Hoffler, with an even bigger and better full day of live music. Johnny O and the Jump out Boys, The Mighty Fairlanes, Wristband and a B-Sides reunion will take us from 4pm to 11pm in LoFi park at Joymongers in Greensboro. More details to come…

Ted loved vintage T-shirts and wore one just about every day after his retirement in 2016. As a fundraiser for his favorite musical charity, the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society, we will be selling a limited run of this commemorative T-shirt on Sunday. The cost of the shirts was donated so every dollar raised goes to educating, preserving and sponsoring the magic of live music to everyone in our community, from elementary school children to senior citizens. For $25 you can spread Ted Hoffler’s message that ”music is the healer”. See you at Joymongers, Sunday afternoon the 9th for a celebration of life with friends, live music and great beer!

Join us for a Rock and Roll celebration of the life of Ted Hoffler at Joymongers on Sunday, January 9 at 5 pm. Contributions to the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society will be gratefully accepted. His band, The B-Sides, with special guest guitarists, Buddy Ro Harrison (The Mighty Fairlanes), Poppa T Lineberry(Wristband) and Earl Snipes (Johnny O and the Jump Up Boys) will rock the music Ted loved and send him off in style.

The funeral service for Ted is going to be small and family only. With the family’s blessings, the B-Sides is working with some our favorite guitarists, who also loved Ted Hoffler to organize a Memorial Concert in his honor. The tentative date is Sunday, January 9th at Joymongers. This will be a time for all of us to gather, raise a glass and tell our favorite stories about Tedbelly. More details to come. We lost our brother and guitarist, Ted Hoffler, last week. Ted showed his passion in everything he said and did. He was the heart and soul of the B-Sides and the driving force that got a group of back porch musicians, late in life, onto the stage. Our B-Sides brothers, Jim Jones, Martin Doll, Roy Nydorf, John Amberg and Byron Stein are grieving along with so many of Ted’s friends. We will post arrangements to gather together and honor Ted when they become available.
