It amazes me how much weight we put into American Patriotism and supposedly standing up for what’s right and for the little guy, yet we’re seeing (literally, it’s practically been live-streamed in real time) the mass killing of thousands of women and children using our tax dollars and have been, for the most part, silent. It’s a devastating silence. The language of art has never been more important. If you’re an artist, and you haven’t said anything about this devastation, you’re not an artist. Art should never be, solely about yourself, as if you’re the single most important thing on the planet. It needs to be about a collective. About a feeling, about love and community. About helping people experience things that they couldn’t otherwise experience without your art. About discomfort. Art is the entry point for empathy.

Still reeling from how beautiful this event was last weekend. is the real deal 🥲 truly so grateful for meeting these incredibly talented folks. This weekend was a much needed reminder of how healing and powerful community can be when we come together in love and celebration.

Can’t say enough good things about this weekend, an Ancestral Womb Wellness Gathering, with —a true collective that nurtures our community from womb to tomb. These are just a handful of some of my favorite photos but hopefully you get a sense of how beautiful this weekend was. More to come 🙇🏽‍♂️

SAVE THE DATE! Saturday, August 27th, we’re presenting a 22-Minute documentary about the return of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and Caridad’s new role as Executive Director of the cafe, the very place she started as a Nuyorican Poet.

It’s been such an honor to capture this story and to work alongside such beautiful talented souls at the . From the moment we stepped into this space to film, you could feel the love and the energy; the history of the space vibrating through the air. We hope we were able to honor this historic space.

has such an incredible story and journey, and somehow it feels like it’s just beginning all over again at the very place she started. She’s such a light and we can’t say enough good things about how joyous it is to capture it in front of the camera.

I had the honor of directing this project alongside as well as being the Director of Photography and the Lead Editor on the project!! provided additional cinematography on the project, shot some phenomenal super 8 footage, gave us some incredible sound recording as usual 🙏🏽💫

continues to be the most prominent latinx-led grassroots production company of New York. To think where it all started and where it continues to keep going, I couldn’t be more proud or more grateful. Thanks to all who have stayed with me for the ride 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
