Badlaav Magazine Badlaav is a magazine about social change in India. Edited by Liz Peyton, Ragini Kathail, and Angela Kohama.

Badlaav is a magazine in print and online about social change in India, initially written and produced by the 2012-2013 cohort of American India Foundation (AIF) Fellows. This one-annual publication is a compendium of voices from across the development sector in India, publishing on issues and questions they face every day. The theme of the first issue, which came out in June 2013, is behavior cha

nge in a development context. The writers, all AIF Fellows, offer their perspectives on changing individuals’ habits, practices, and perceptions in different areas of social work in India. We have a blog as well, which is our way of keeping the conversation we started in June alive and posing thoughtful questions that turn into meaningful discussions. You can expect a weekly blog post addressing a pressing question that one of our writers has about development in India, backed by primary and secondary research and succinct analysis. You can also expect more beautiful photographs taken by our contributors while working in India. We’re also including features like Books We Love, as well as reporting and commentary on India-related events and speakers.
