I had such a reflective and spiritually moving day on Yom Kippur. I wanted to share some of why.
I cried the first hour of services. Moved by the words and the music in ways I had never been before.
My kids looked at me and asked “Why are you crying again?” (I am a big crier)
“Because I feel things deeply.” I responded.
Sometimes there are just amazing people who have a way of inspiring everyone who comes across their path. @rabbiwendi is one of those spirtual leaders.
Her sermons make me want to do better and be better. They leave me wanting to give more of myself and take less, be more curious, connect more with the people I love and create a meaningful life.
Death is a big theme of Yom Kippur as we pray to be inscribed in the book of life between Rosh Hashanah and today. Rabbi Geffen reminds us that it is always about life.
I wanted to share this from today’s service as it continues to make me think about how I want to live.
@rabbiwendi if you happen to read this, thank you for being such a blessing and gift to the @we.are.nsci community.
Now off to do my part to help and heal this wounded world.
Take a listen and let me know if you feel equally inspired.
You can also watch her full sermon in the North Shore Congregation Israel website from the evening service on 9/24. It was incredibly inspiring.

How do you feel about death?
I spoke with @nurse.hadley about death culture, hospice care, and the afterlife in this week’s episode.
I 100% agree with what she says in this clip and believe there needs to be a paradigm shift in the way we think about death and dying.

Keeping a psychic journal is one of @lisaxcampion best tips for noticing psychic development. 🔮👩⚕️
Through introspection, it enables individuals to delve into the intricate connection between their mind and body, fostering an acute awareness of subtle shifts and sensations.
By tracking these sensations, you can discern patterns and connections that you may not have realized otherwise.

Through introspection and contemplation, I’ve come to realize that embracing the inevitability of death empowers me to fully embrace the present moment and make the most of every experience. 😇😇
This newfound perspective has not only alleviated my fears but has also instilled a sense of courage, allowing me to live more authentically and passionately, unburdened by the constraints of anxiety about the unknown.
How has your perspective on mortality influenced your outlook on life?
Losing a twin is an incredibly unique form of loss. 👯♀️
I never realized how deep the connection between twins is until my adorable, identical twin nephews came along.
Beyond the typical bonds that siblings share, twins often possess an unparalleled connection that transcends words.
The absence of this inherent companionship can leave a void that’s hard to fill, amplifying the feelings of grief and isolation.
Like in Tasha’s case, the surviving twin may grapple with a deep sense of identity loss, as their twin was not just a sibling but also a reflection of themselves.
