Hello Everyone,

I want to share a bit about my life and the challenges I've faced over the years. Four years ago, my previous company stopped paying my salary and did not give pay for the 2 months despite my repeated visits and requests. I was earning 50,000 RS, but they never paid me. I was tired of looking for another job but had no luck. My cousin offered me a job for 15,000 RS during Pakistan's economic crisis, a huge drop from my previous salary.

Despite attending numerous interviews, I have yet to get any callbacks. All my expenses went into travel fares, and I felt like I was wasting my time and resources. I started a YouTube channel about my six-year struggle to share my journey. Unfortunately, during Ramadan in 2024, my phone was stolen, and I lost all my work, audience, views, and subscribers.

On top of that, my parents and phopho (aunt) have been looking for a marriage proposal (rishta) for me for over the years. However, I've faced rejection because of my hearing impairment. People think I'm disabled and remain silent. But I am a perfect and normal person. One day, someone took me to a Pathan hotel for a meetup, and I was quiet and talked less because they were speaking in the Cutchi language, and my language is just Urdu fluent. Then, the next day, they informed my parents, "Apka beta bolta nahi hai kiya faida and cutchi nahi ati hai usko" (Your son doesn't speak, what's the use? And he doesn't understand Cutchi). They rejected me based on this. I don't want to marry a girl's father; I want to marry a girl.

Due to the economic situation in Pakistan today, I still don't have a new iPhone, nor do I plan to buy one soon.

Today, as I walked to my cousin's house, I had a terrifying encounter. On my way, I saw a dacoit who scared me immensely. Remembering the incident from three days ago, where I had a similar scary experience, my anxiety skyrocketed. I managed to escape with difficulty by taking another street at Nazimabad No. 1. The streets of Karachi, which once felt normal and safe, now seem difficult, especially for someone hard of hearing like me.
Living in Karachi has become increasingly challenging due to these safety concerns. The constant threat of encountering dacoits makes everyday tasks feel like a chance. Despite its vibrancy and cultural richness, the city now harbors an undercurrent of fear that affects not just me but countless others.
The situation is even more daunting for those of us who are hard of hearing. Our ability to sense trouble is compromised, making us more helpless. This latest incident has made me realize the urgent need for better safety measures and a more attentive community to ensure everyone can live without fear, regardless of their abilities. Until then, staying safe remains a regular, pressing concern.

Today, around 9:30 to 9:55 AM, I was walking to my cousin's house when I crossed a footbridge at Nazimabad 1 stop coming from the SITE area near Subhan Bakery. Suddenly, a robber came to me, demanded money, and attacked me. He hit me hard on the leg, causing significant pain and cutting my pants. I had nothing in my pocket, as my iPhone had been stolen during Ramadan. The robber waited around for about 10 minutes, intending to rob me. During the assault, I managed to escape briefly, but he pursued and injured me further.
In desperate need of help, I spotted a traffic policeman named Muhammad Imtiaz, nearby and explained my situation. To my dismay, the policeman refused to assist, stating, "Ye mera kaam nahi aur jao police station" (This is not my job, go to the police station). This response left me feeling abandoned and helpless.
This incident marks the second time in less than 1.5 months that culprits or offenders in Karachi have targeted me. The city feels increasingly unsafe, especially for hard-of-hearing individuals like myself. The ineffectiveness and unresponsiveness of the Sindh police leave me feeling helpless and frustrated, as there seems to be no reliable support or protection in such difficult situations.

I had a shocking experience recently that I feel compelled to share. While I was on the Bus, engrossed in a secret group planning session, my iPhone was stealthily stolen from my back pocket. I didn't even feel it happening! The feeling of exposure that followed was intense. This incident is a stark reminder of the importance of staying watchful and safeguarding our belongings, especially in crowded or unfamiliar settings.
Eid is approaching, and I initially planned to share a vlog with you all. However, I can't proceed as planned due to the theft and the high cost of new iPhones. It's disheartening not to have a good quality phone for the vlog, but I won't let this setback discourage me.
