Supermodels Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski walked the runway in Jacquemus‘ spring 2024 fashion show entitled “Les Sculptures” in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France on Monday.

Hadid opened the show in a textured cream coat featuring exaggerated sleeves and lapels. Her accessories included a wide belt with gold hardware, as well as a leather handbag and white bow-embellished slingbacks.
Similar to Hadid’s, Ratajkowski’s all-black ensemble included a belted skirt suit with voluminous shoulders and matching mules. The model, author and podcast host also carried a small snakeskin purse.👜

You can’t keep a good T. rex down.

Although it’s been two years since the last time dinosaurs roamed the Earth in 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion, Universal Pictures has hardly kept it biggest franchise trapped in amber.

The studio is deep into the development of an all-new Jurassic World movie and has David Koeppback at the keyboard. Koepp was the writer of the original 1993 Jurassic Park, famously directed by Steven Spielberg, and its sequel, 1997’s Jurassic Park: The Lost World.

The project, which has been flying under the radar, is far enough along, and the script in a well-liked shape, that the studio is whispering of a possible 2025 release date.

There is no director on board, but Frank Marshall, the veteran and celebrated producer who oversaw the Jurassic World trilogy, is back producing, as is another Jurassic vet, Patrick Crowley. Spielberg will executive produce via his Amblin Entertainment banner.

On Thursday afternoon, the history-filled Sony lot in Culver City — which was the MGM lot during Hollywood’s Golden Age, home to “more stars than there are in heaven” — welcomed film composer John Williams, after whom the studio’s musical building was being renamed.

Williams, 91, who is best known for the scores of Star Wars and 29 Steven Spielberg films — 20 of which were scored in the structure that will henceforth be known as the John Williams Music Building — was on hand, as were many of his collaborators (Spielberg, J.J. Abrams and Spielberg’s producers Frank Marshall and Kristie Macosko Krieger) and colleagues (including fellow film composer Thomas Newman).

Actor Julia Roberts, who has acted in several popular movies, said she chose not to take off clothes or do racy roles during her decades-long career in Hollywood. During her new cover story with British Vogue, published on Thursday, the actor, 56, revealed the reason, adding that she wanted a ‘G-rated’ career. “You know, not to be criticizing others’ choices, but for me to not take off my clothes in a movie or be vulnerable in physical ways is a choice that I guess I make or myself,” she explained. “But in effect, I’m choosing not to do something as opposed to choosing not to do something as opposed to choosing to do something.”

Alma Pöysti and Jussi Vatanen, the Finnish stars of his latest, the tragicomic romance “Fallen Leaves,” are getting to meet both during their whirlwind tour of America at the height of Hollywood’s awards season.

In the span of just a few days, they’d attend the Golden Globe Awards, where both the film and Pöysti were nominated, get the news that the National Society of Film Critics had selected “Fallen Leaves” as the best non-English-language film of the year, take a quick detour to San Francisco for a screening, and head back to Los Angeles in time for the Governors Awards.

They are running out of superlatives to describe the experience, Vatanen said in a joint interview with Pöysti earlier this week, but both can agree it’s been “overwhelming.”

A famous actor with roots in Northeast Wisconsin was honored with the first Hollywood Walk of Fame star of 2024.

That would be Willem Dafoe, born in Appleton in 1955.

Dafoe’s acceptance speech made mention of his hometown — and he took time to mention Appleton’s other mega-star.

“The little town that I come from, Appleton Wisconsin, it’s maybe a town of 70,000 people now, someone else from that town has a star. And his name was Erik Weisz. You know who that is? Maybe you know him better by the name of Harry Houdini,” Dafoe said. “So I’m in good company.”

Lee Sun-kyun, the South Korean actor who starred in B**g Joon Ho’s Oscar-winning film Parasite and the Apple TV+ series Dr. Brain, has died in an apparent su***de. He was 48.

South Korean news agency Yonhap reports that Lee was found dead inside a car at a park in Seoul on Wednesday morning, local time. Yonhap reports that Lee’s wife reported to police that the actor had left home and that she had found what appeared to be a su***de note.

Local media reports that Lee had been under investigation over allegations that he had used illegal drugs. In recent weeks, the South Korean government’s ongoing crackdown on hard drugs has led to a series of allegations against high-profile people including actors, singers, socialites, and heirs to the country’s richest families. Hollywood star Jason Momoa has said that he didn’t need to go to any extremes to get into fighting shape for ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’.

“I don’t do calories. I just eat,” Momoa told E! News.

When asked what he ate in the lead-up to and during filming, he replied: “Everything. Because you’re burning so many calories, I just eat and consume. I’m constantly moving and work long days.”

The Drag Race alumna announced the show’s return for a set of limited dates at Hollywood’s The Bourbon Room in March 2024.

After making waves in 2022 with a cameo-filled album and award-winning staging, DRAG: The Musical is ready to run full steam ahead — wearing a pair of stilettos, mind you — into 2024.

On Wednesday (Dec. 13), it was revealed that the show — which was co-written by RuPaul’s Drag Race alumna Alaska — would return for a limited run of performances at The Bourbon Room in Hollywood during spring 2024. Beginning March 15, the show will run for two weeks before making a transfer to New York City for its fall 2024 run.

Barbie director Greta Gerwig received her first Best Director Golden Globe nomination Monday, following years past in which she was snubbed for her films Lady Bird and Little Women.

Gerwig was nominated alongside Christopher Nolan (Oppenheimer), Celine Song (Past Lives), Martin Scorsese (Killers of the Flower Moon), Bradley Cooper (Maestro), and Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things). Gerwig also received a Best Original Screenplay nomination alongside Noah Baumbach for Barbie. In total, Barbie received nine nominations, including Best Musical or comedy, best actress for Margot Robbie, and best supporting actor for Ryan Gosling.

Death of star of Paper Moon, What’s Up, Doc? and Barry Lyndon announced by his son Patrick O’Neal

Ryan O’Neal, a leading star in Hollywood in the 1970s known for iconic films such as Love Story and Paper Moon, has died, according to a series of emotional posts from his son. He was 82.

On Friday, Patrick O’Neal shared on Instagram that his father had died “with his loving team by his side supporting him and loving him as he would us”. He went on to “share some feelings to give you an idea of how great a man he is”. Patrick described his father as “my hero.

“I looked up to him and he was always bigger than life. When I was born in 1967 my dad was already a TV star on Peyton Place. That’s where he met my mom Leigh Taylor-Young, and about 9 months later (give or take a date night or two) I was born,” he wrote.

It looks like Marvel won’t be bringing its battle over the rights to Spider-Man and Doctor Strange into the new year. Attorneys for the company and the estate of Steve Ditko on Wednesday notified the court that they’ve reached an amicable settlement and expect a stipulation of dismissal with prejudice to be filed in the coming weeks.

This all started back in 2021 when Marvel filed a series of lawsuits in response to copyright termination notices from Larry Lieber and the estates of Gene Colan, Steve Ditko, Don Heck, and Don Rico. A very long list of characters was at issue including Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, and Thor. In June, all but one of the matters were settled.

Taylor Swift has capped off a stellar 2023 by being named Time Magazine’s person of the year.
The star, whose Eras tour broke box office records and provoked an inquiry into Ticketmaster’s sales practices, follows the likes of Barack Obama, Greta Thunberg and Volodymyr Zelensky.
She told the magazine that she is “the proudest and happiest I’ve ever felt”.
The award goes to an event or person deemed to have had the most influence on global events over the past year.
The singer also admitted to the magazine that the toll of her 180-minute Eras concerts often left her feeling physically exhausted.
After a run of shows, “I do not leave my bed except to get food and take it back to my bed and eat it there,” she said.
“I can barely speak because I’ve been singing for three shows straight. Every time I take a step my feet go crunch, crunch, crunch from dancing in heels.”
The star also talked about her blossoming romance with American Football star Travis Kelce.
The couple hit the headlines in September when Swift was spotted at with Kelce’s mother at one of his games.
“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple,” she explained, adding they had first hooked up over the summer.

Michael Latt, a 33-year-old Hollywood consultant and activist known for promoting social justice causes, died Monday after 36-year-old Jameelah Elena Michl allegedly broke into his home and allegedly shot him in the head, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Michl was allegedly stalking another woman and targeted Latt because he was her friend, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon's office revealed Thursday.

She allegedly knocked on the door, forced her way through when the occupants answered and gunned down Latt with a semiautomatic handgun in his $800,000 one-bedroom apartment in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood around 6 p.m. Monday.
