On 1 November, Crabb and Sales will return to Hamer Hall – scene of many Chat 10 hijinks. The on-stage re-enactment of Warnie’s 700th wicket. The live FaceTime call from stage to check in on Celia Pacquola’s babysitter… Luke McGregor. Come along and celebrate with podcasting’s most reliably inconsistent pair of dorks. In other words, listen to them drone on about themselves for 90 minutes. There might even be a special guest or two, but no promises!

The Cafe at the RCM will be open especially for you to meet old or new Chatter friends from 6.30-7.30pm ahead of the show.

Virginia Gay has done it again with another brilliant guest lined up for our show. Adelaide icon, all-round musical dazzler and host of The Parlour will be joining Virginia, and Sales on stage on 13 June.

Victoria is a singer, musician, host extraordinaire (ahem, be sure to take notes, Crabb and Sales) and co-artistic director of the Hayes Theatre in Sydney.

Leigh Sales and I are doing a ONE NIGHT ONLY Chat 10 Looks 3 special show in Adelaide for Virginia Gay's glorious Adelaide Cabaret Festival … it’s next Thursday at the Festival Theatre annnndddd … Sales has been taking SINGING LESSONS and has rehearsed a SONG with Virginia which TBH even I have to admit is pretty 🔥 and we have a RANGE of compelling guests … honestly come along but you get an idea what I’m working with when you see what I got when I suggested Sales pose like Sally Bowles in Cabaret and I ended up with …. National treasure Virginia Gay promised special guests at our Adelaide Cabaret Festival show, and BOY is she delivering. UK comedy duo Flo & Joan will be joining Virginia, Annabel Crabb and Sales on stage on 13 June.

Their festival description reads "Seriously funny songs, masterfully performed with slick piano—percussion and a distinctively deadpan charm". Virginia says "They are funny. They are brilliant. They are weirdly sexy and hilarious. I love them – two very, very, very funny women."

We're ecstatic that they're joining us. Chat 10 is seriously lacking in "weirdly sexy" (or any level of sexy, truth be told).

Sales says: A few years back we both read a book called ‘The Swans of Fifth Avenue’ by Melanie Benjamin, which is about Truman Capote selling out all of the high society women of 1960s Manhattan. There's a TV show at the moment called ‘Feud: Capote versus the Swans’.

I thought it was based on the Melanie Benjamin book, but it's actually based on a book called ‘Capote's Women’ by Lawrence Lerner. But it's effectively the same kind of terrain.

Naomi Watts is Babe Paley – I think she's a fantastic actor – she's perfectly cast. And then Diane Lane and Chloë Sevigny are the main two swans and Capote is played by Tom Hollander. Talk about versatile, Tom just embodies that disgusting Truman character. Jessica Lange, Calista Flockhart and Molly Ringwald are in it as well.

I don't know if I'm more eager for Deadpool 3 or finishing this series.

Crabb says: I really loved this book a lot. It’s ‘The Green Dot’ by Madeleine Gray .

It’s about a young woman who lives with her dad and her dog, and she is incredibly funny and a bit doesn't-quite-fit-in.

She goes and works as a social media moderator for a news organisation and oh my, the writing is so funny and clever and this character is so lovable because she's so funny and smart, but also awkward. Then she falls in love with a guy from her work. And of course, what happens when you have s*x with an older guy from your workplace who doesn't ever stay the night, you become fixated.

The central character’s name is Hera, so she really is appropriately named. Hera is endearing and observant and completely kooky and makes some terrible decisions. The book is unputdownable.
