When it’s passing the one year anniversary so your other half decides to treat you both with getting herself a Chieftain in addition to her Scout. Not only am I the luckiest guy because she loves to ride as well but she’s become my best friend who supports me in all things. Just don’t try to play who’s got the bigger bike, you sometimes lose lol. #1901
For this that don’t know I have decided to be a little more active outside of riding the Scout and work. So I’ve joined one of those virtual challenge sites and it’s been kind of fun with it being Lord of the Rings themed. So far in the last 2-3 weeks I’ve gone for the rolling hills of the Shire to the village of Bree. Well in the immortal words spoken at the outset of this quest “It’s a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you’ll be swept off to.” Well from the Hobbithole of Bagend in Hobbiton to the Prancing Pony in Bree I’ve kept my feet this far. Now it’s just a quick jaunt past Weathertop to Rivendell and on to Moria for the next medal.

Acute Rescue is grateful to have been able to join hands with our fellow first responders at the Boise Airport yesterday in a mutual aid response. 🤝 Together, we made a difference, turning compassion into action. The power of community shines brightest in times of need. Thank you to all of the agencies that responded for all of the support and teamwork. 🙏 Our hearts and prayers go out to the families and victims of this unfortunate accident, and wish them a speedy recovery.
When it’s the weekly date day with .simpson08 you have to do it right. A new whiskey tasting, followed by making some elven bread, cocktails then candlelight dinner without electronic distractions. Just trying to be in the moment more and show her how much she means to me.
Another work week starting tomorrow so tonight is a whiskey sour night due to in climate weather prohibiting a ride on the motorcycle. So here’s one for everyone who is at work while I make another for those who aren’t.
Well it’s been two years, from the outset of paramedic school to passing paramedic school and now becoming a Nationally Registered Paramedic. I thank all of you who have been here along the way since me leaving my almost decade long career with the Idaho Department Of Correction as a Correctional Officer/Firefighter and moving into Emergency Medicine. I wish I could fit all of you in my tags to thank but space is limited, just know that if you weren’t mentioned in a tag it was only because I wasn’t able to fit you. A more befitting end to a period in this journey couldn’t have been written in fiction with me becoming a Paramedic at years end. **rs
Well after turning an 18 month program into a 24 month one, I have successfully graduated Idaho State Universities Paramedic Science Program! Thank you to everyone who has supported me both in person, in resources and in spirit. I couldn’t have done it without you guys and you’re the true hero’s saving this guy who wants to be a paramedic. 🚑🚨 **rs

Well it’s been a minute since I posted lol, but once again I had a blast at the Boise IMRG Holiday party where someone decided to continue the running gag of “Rocking my World” that started during the Northwest Chapters tour…but it is pretty funny to be honest. Last night got to meet the President of who was in town and was able to join us for our dinner ride to Great Wall Chinese Buffet. Always great to not only connect with members from other chapters but be able to include them in our events.
Hey everyone, sorry for being MIA for the last little bit. Checking in and updating so you know that I’m still alive and living life. Well … to start, my friend is an a outstanding artist and has her artwork in a 2023 calendar that she was able to share with me. I also was able to assist with showing not only my own but my employers support for my local community’s Veterans Day parade by being part of the parade in an ambulance. And if you know me, you know I’m always carrying some type of coin on me and have gotten a new one that if you’ve worked with me Ling enough knows that it is fitting as all get out. Well hope everyone had a memorable Veterans Day and that everyone stays safe in these winter weathers as we get ready for Thanksgiving!

So those who live close to me or if we talk on a regular basis know but some don’t so quick recap… last year (end of spring) my ex (when she wasn’t my ex) and I decided that since it is such a steep difference between where my foundation sits and my neighbors is(first pic ex is on the neighbors side of the property line) to build a retaining wall and fill in the void with dirt so we can even out my side … well the wall was built last June/July… and what was a “we” project became a “me” project and then became a I’ll get to it when I get to it when she left… well today my friend Jeff Massie came over with his tractor and helped me at least turn this mountain into a mole hill so I can start making more progress with putting a fence on top of the retaining wall and complete this project… so long story short. Thank you Jeff and if you have a friend in need, help them out because that’s what friends (and heroes) do!!!
Once again, if I’ve said it once I’ll say it again… I love being a turtle… wait a second wrong movie. I love my job… that sounds better and right. Spending today working as medical standby for the Boise Soul Food Festival. Great food, great smells, great music and great people spending time in a lovely park.
The world lost a dear soul today. I have a signed photo of hers that I got at a comic con a few years ago and it is very special to me for not only what she meant to the world as a whole but my own life. Thank you for your time on this earth shared with others. Second star to the right and straight in till morning.
It’s that time again where I get to not only thank for allowing me to be employed by one of the finest EMS agencies in the State of Idaho but also that they allow me to work medical standby at the greatest sport on dirt, a rodeo. So if you’re in town please come on down and support the 107th Snake River Stampede and all of their supporters by coming out and enjoying some good old fashioned cowboy fun.
A few years ago, an idea was born of bringing the western chapters together for not a rally but a ride since we are a rider group. A lone ride with a new destination each day took 2000+ miles and looped as many IMRG chapter stops as he could in during this trek. Someone built on that idea with incorporating the article from 2019 about Highway 12 and started the Border to Border ride which has since transformed into the … to all of you out there who have supported the line rider, the singular chapter all the way up to the entire pie of what we experienced this last weekend, from the bottom of my heart thank you. I hope to see you at next years which will be hosted by the Willamette Valley IMRG Chapter showing off the splendiferous ride in store in Oregon.
