Meet Ava Rheeve! When asked about her experiences with the IRR, Ava says:

"I started with the IRR before I even arrived at BU because I was so certain it was the perfect publication for me to be a part of, coming in as an Anthropology and IR major that loved writing. The more time I spend with the IRR, the deeper my appreciation grows, as it has been the perfect medium for me to combine all of my interests. Member Spotlight!

Meet Ashari Bilan-Cooper! When asked about her experiences with the IRR, Ashari says:

Throughout school, I have always loved writing but decided against English as my major because International Relations was, for me, the whole package. However, I didn't want to give up on my writing either, so the IRR was the perfect place for me to combine my two academic interests. It also prompted me to declare a minor in journalism because I soon realised, through researching underrepresented cases in global politics as part of my role as a staff writer for the IRR, the importance of journalism in broadcasting pressing international issues. I am also grateful for the people I have met through the IRR; it is a wonderful team full of talented individuals. Even though I am studying abroad this semester and will not write for the journal this fall, I am excited to join again once I return!

The IRR is excited to announce the official publication of the 25th issue of the International Relations Review, titled Redefining Resistance. Across 125 pages, bound and printed by Boston Business Printing, the Fall 2021 edition exposes new dimensions of conflict and security in the 21st century, including citizenship, climate change, and human rights questions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In celebration of twelve years of undergraduate scholarship, the 25th issue features reflections from two past Editors-in-Chief - Andrew Facini and Noah Riley - and a foreword written by BUIAA's long-time faculty advisor, Rosella Ca****la.
