*** Updated 09/01/25: RIP Scott Spiegel (1957-2025) 🥲 ***

Sending good vibes and best wishes to our pal Scotty Spiegel, shown here in his hilarious ROBOT NINJA cameo with co-star Burt Ward. Despite rumors of his passing spreading on social media last week, Scotty is very much still with us, although on life support after a massive heart attack.

Scotty's contributions to our early films started from the very beginning with his role as "Richards" in THE DEAD NEXT DOOR (along with countless voices on the dubbed version including "Vincent"), the aforementioned cameo as "Marty Coleslaw" in ROBOT NINJA, and a riotous lead role as "Phink" in SKINNED ALIVE. Scotty is also featured in our SHOCK CINEMA COLLECTION and REFLECTIONS ON THE LIVING DEAD documentaries.

Now would be a great time to keep Scotty and his family & friends in your thoughts and prayers! 🙏

We are deeply saddened to report the passing of Barbara Gay Norrod, who lent her talents both in front of and behind the camera on many of our early productions.

Barb was with us from the beginning as an invaluable crew member on The Dead Next Door, where she also played the character of "Dr. J."

Perhaps her most memorable role was "Whinnie" in our 1990 film Skinned Alive, but she also starred as "Mrs. Martinak" in THE SANDMAN (1995) and "Abigail" in DEAD & ROTTING (2002), as well as cameos in KINGDOM OF THE VAMPIRE (1991), CHICKBOXER, and MAXIMUM IMPACT (both 1992).

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this amazing lady. 😢

In addition to being an Akron-area theatre legend, Eileen Moushey also did casting for our 1991 SOV movies KINGDOM OF THE VAMPIRE and ZOMBIE COP. Her son Rory appeared in KINGDOM as the trick-or-treater dressed in the Robot Ninja costume.
