Hands-On With The Gerald Charles Masterlink Blue — A Luxurious Integrated-Bracelet Sports Watch. The Gerald Charles brand is, of course, the brand of legendary watch designer Gérald Genta. He started it in 2000 and gave it his first two given names. Today’s subject, the new Masterlink, is a modern take on the Maestro, a 2006 Genta design. Octavio Garcia, the creative director of Gerald Charles, is no stranger to working with Genta designs as he once worked for Audemars Piguet. He gave the Masterlink a look that’s in line with the Maestro but is squarer than the 2006 design. And then there’s the integrated bracelet, of course. What's your take on this rather unique execution within the luxury integrated bracelet sports watch? Let us know in the comments.

Message to TAG Heuer — it’s about damn time! For many of us, today’s announcement of the TAG Heuer Formula 1 × Kith represents a return to where everything began. The original Formula 1 watch from 1986 was groundbreaking, and for many collectors, it was their first luxury Swiss watch. This may sound like “PR speak,” but it rings true for us here at Fratello as well. What's your take on this – dare we say: MoonSwatch inspired – launch?
Ready to embark a new adventure? Stay tuned to see what we’re branching out 🌳🦌

In today’s episode of Fratello Talks, Nacho, RJ, and Lex take a look at and try to make sense of watch prices today. It’s often a hot topic of discussion in the comments. Fratello Talks: LVMH Watch Week 2024 Special
Welcome to this special episode of Fratello Talks for LVMH Watch Week 2024! You join Nacho, Timo, and RJ, who run through the list of releases from Bvlgari, TAG Heuer, Hublot, and Zenith. It may still be early in the year, but we’ve already seen a ton of new watches. These brands have also given us more than a handful of new releases to be excited about. Among the novelties, you’ll find contemporary takes on classic designs, from Zenith adding a classic complication to a fan favorite to TAG Heuer bringing back the Dato dial in the Glassbox formula. Additionally, Bvlgari has dropped a couple of new, bold colorways for the Octo Finissimo, and Hublot is flexing its technical chops with the MP-10 Tourbillon.
Fratello Talks: What Makes A Watch Brand Great?
Nacho, Lex, and Laurits try to answer the question: what makes a watch brand great? It’s not as obvious as one might imagine. There are as many factors to consider as there are parts in a watch movement. However, a handful of specific criteria come into play in separating the few from the many, including heritage, storytelling, and, ultimately, the product itself.

Fratello Talks: The Myth Of Perfect Watch Size
Welcome to the second episode of the second season of Fratello Talks! As we kick off the year, we're dusting off old debates, and today, we talk about the myth of a perfect watch size. Your host, Nacho, is joined by RJ and Thomas to discuss horological proportions. Is there such a thing as a perfect watch size? We don't think so. Too many factors come into play, from thickness to lug-to-lug and even the case shape, not to mention the wearer's wrist circumference and profile. Ultimately, trying as many different watches as possible and seeing what works for you is the way to go. What may seem too big or too small on paper is sometimes more wearable than expected in the metal. You might just be surprised!
