Hey all - we’re getting ready to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of the Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center! get your reservation here: http://bit.ly/FLUX23
THAT'S A WRAP!
Marcy & Scottie's finale for their weekly vlog Getting Back To Me - Both Sides of the story" concludes with the final chapter of Scottie's book, "Defying Gravity" and look at where their inspiration comes from and the secret to naviagating monumental change in a marriage - (SPOILER ALERT: It's light, laughter, & love)
Stop me if you've heard this one: Everywhere we go, we hear "I can't wait for Marcy's side of the story," (BT-dubs, we were just reading thru the first few chapters, and if my book is being called a "page-turner" hers is a "barn-burner." We're going to sell it with a set of seat belts! But I digress, I know, you're sooo surprised) - so until Marcy's done, we've launched a weekly podcast that will give everyone a taste of her side of our story. In this week's episode, (the title of the chapter is a line often used by Marcy's Mummy, Mardie) Marcy picks the passage for Scottie to read in Chapter 3 to answer one of the most asked questions Scottie faces -"when did you know you were a girl?"
Marcy & I spoke at CSUN last week! The entire video is available on our website zuzubean.com. Please watch and share. Marcy and I are starting to hit our stride! Special thanks to Lara Weatherly & Mark Lyons for the generous support. Dr. Knotts, you're the best! And watch out for Dr. Pavi Prasad, she steals the show!
No woman is an island...
The newest section of our ever, ahem, shall we say "maturing" website - a series of excerpts from the interview recorded last Monday - Scottie tries (ah ain't she adorable?) to set the record straight about her writing process, the transitioning process and gets a few digs in about the process, process... please share and help spread the word!
Just in time for Scottie's next signing - a taste of her talk! Okay... We teased about this yesterday - this is an excerpt from Scottie's talk last week at Google. Special thanks to my dear friend and DP extraordinaire (tho' here he poted and shot) Rick Butler. And to Bradley & Monica for being their exemplary selves... Stay tuned for the link to the full presentation.
