Valerie Johnson Step Into My Life (Original Mix) Emotive Records 1991 Produced by New York underground don Jovonn for Valerie Johnson, ex-wife of Louis Johnson (Brothers Johnson fame). This was her debut single for the highly prolific NYC imprint Emotive. Jovonn’s distinctive production sound and vocals are in full effect on a song that established itself firmly on the US & UK vocal garage scene with the likes of Tony Humphries & Paul “Trouble” Anderson respectively. Classic!
