CCTU UNVEILS ULTRAMODERN VEHICLE MAINTENANCE CENTRE

The Cape Coast Technical University has opened its Ultramodern Vehicle Centre to the general public, with a call on the industry to bridge the gap between Academia and industry to make students employable in every facet of life.

Prof. Kweku Adutwum Ayim Boakye, Vice Chancellor, speaking at the ceremony, explained the rationale for CCTU, Industry-Academia collaboration.

He emphasized the university's core values of innovation, creativity, professionalism, dignity, integrity, respect, team spirit, and community service for national development.

Prof. Kweku A. A. Boakye commended the staff of the University's Centre for Design and Innovation and its project partners.

The programme, which was a collaboration between CCTU, Ghana National Association of Garages (GNAG), and Rikpatlube Manufacturing Ltd (Producers of Seahorse Engine Oil), also coincided with Free Vehicle Maintenance and Servicing Day.

Dr. Patrick Biney, who spoke on behalf of the CEO of Rikpatlube Manufacturing Ltd, expressed his joy for the collaboration and praised CCTU for the partnership. He urged other organisations to come on board to equip students with skills to make them employable in this 21st century.

Representing the national president of the Ghana National Association of Garages (GNAG) was Rev. Asante Bordor. He expressed the association's commitment towards such collaboration, stressing that it is a win-win for both CCTU and the GNAG.

The Ultramodern Vehicle Centre is housed in the Avic Block of Cape Coast Technical University with an Ultramodern Vehicle Spraying Booth, Oil-Filter Change Station, 3D Tye Alignment Station, etc.

In attendance were staff of CCTU, members of GNAG, staff of Rikpatlube Manufacturing Ltd, the Central Regional Minister, the Metro Chief Executive for Cape Coast, the MP for Cape Coast North, and members of the University community.

2023 African Statistics Day Celebration

A level 200 student from the statistics department of Cape Coast Technical University, named BEATRICE QUAYE, came in first runner-up at the judgement of the Statistical Knowledge Contest.

The competition was held between seven schools: Ho Technical University, Accra Technical University, Koforidua Technical University, Cape Coast Technical University, Kumasi Technical University, Takoradi Technical University, and Sunyani Technical University.
